We stayed here a few years ago when the park was newly refurbished and it was fabulous. Now it is beginning to show sighs of neglect. Faucets that don't work, doors that don't lock, and handles broken off shower controllers just to name a few. The restrooms and showers need a good scrubbing.
The park is older and therefore the sites a bit small for today's bigger rigs. The restrooms are older but clean. The real problem with the park is the bugs. Just to go in or out of the rig, there were 200+ in the rig. If you are into fishing this could be your park, otherwise an overnight stay is ample.
This is a beautiful park with lots of big trees, and the setup makes the pull in and pull out easy. The reason I only give a 7 is that there is only one shower location right near the check-in hut. Most, if not all, of the rv sites are a good distance from the showers so it is a long walk to make. The town of Jasper is very well laid out and parking is easy!.
This is a beautiful campground. As mentioned, the sites are situated on semi circles so the pull in and pull out is very easy. The views are wonderful! The things that would be great if added are a camp store for some of the basics and some of the normal "rig" stuff. There is no RV store in town and the hardware store (using the term loosely) has some TP, a couple of hoses, and two kinds of tank treatment. Be prepared when you come here. The second thing that they would make money at by adding is a laundry facility. Parking in the town of Banff is a real challenge: be advised.
The park itsself is pretty, the problem is there are only a couple of showers for the entire place. Since there is a lake, everyone needs to shower everyday so lines can occur. For the distance off the highway, I would try another next time.
The park is right off the freeway but we did not get any noise. There is food, coffee, and gas right near by. The restrooms, though not new are very well maintained; including soap, papertowels, tissues, and cream...very homey. The showers are unisex between the men's and women's restrooms so it is easy to keep an eye on your kids. Nice place...oh the dogs are very cute too.
The park is easy access to the freeway, but quiet. It is quite new and the restrooms reflect this newness. The sites are cement and level! And, there is a Starbucks right around the corner. We would definitely stay again.
