This is the most beautiful campground that we never meant to visit. Our car broke down in the mountains and actually got towed here. The people are great, they went out of their way to help any way they could. We want to come back sometime for a real stay. Very steep roads getting here and in the park. Most sites are very shady and the Internet is the best we've had. AT&T cell only has a small area near the office where there are bars.
This is an older campground. The Wi-Fi really does not work. The main drive is full of potholes and the playground is very dated. On the other hand, the bath house has music playing all the time and there are flowers everywhere! Nice place to stay.
This is a nice enough campground and it is very close to Meramec Caverns. The bathhouse leaves something to be desired. There are only 2 showers and the walls aren't even finished. We stayed overnight and the campground is just right for that. We were in a pop up camper.
We camped here for 4 nights. The campground was easy to find and a great place to stay. Very close to Six Flags (about 5 minutes) and within a half an hour of downtown St. Louis. We loved it. The WiFi was down, but we were able to hook up to someone's. The bathrooms were clean although the water leaves a funny-lingering smell throughout the building. It's very close to a railroad track, but the trains just seem to add to the quaint ambiance. Nice and shady, run by nice people - we would stay here again!
