What a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The park was wonderful and so were the people working and staying there. Everything was spotless. We loved seeing the beautiful deer walking around the park. We can't wait to go back next year!
Beautiful older resort. It was four separate resorts combined together. More activities than you could ever have time to do. All kinds of crafts, parties, dances, food, etc. Hope to get back there in winter of 2009.
The sites at the campground are really close together and they need to relocate a lot of the palm trees to make getting into and out of the sites easier. We tried pulling through one of the sites but the palm trees got in the way and we had to back into it instead. Also, there were sand spurs that got into your feet, shoes and dogs paws that were extremely painful and annoying. The fire ants were no joy either. I'm glad we were only there one night.
The overall campground was adequate but the manager has a tendency to be rude and likes to macro manage. The Activities Dept. was serving food in a non-commercial kitchen and the health department came in March and closed down their kitchen. This put an end to all their holiday dinners and any event that food was involved in. A lot of workampers were let go early due to that. There are much nicer campgrounds up the road in Casa Grande.
