This park has an upper and lower level. It's probably a great park if you're in the upper level but if you are in the lower level it's an overpriced mud hole. Gravel roads with narrow dirt campsites and no grass. The lower levels are heavily wooded eliminating satellite TV reception and with no cable that leaves the crank up antenna but since you're in a hole there's not much reception from that either. On the positive side, the staff is nice and the pool area is small but well maintained. Insist on the upper level by the pool if you plan on staying here.
This was probably the nicest campground that we have ever stayed at. All of the grounds were manicured: even the pet runs. Amenities included a nice staff, heated swimming pools and chipping and putting greens. The only negative was that there was a little road noise and train not to far off. We plan on going back next year and staying for a month.
With the exception of no pool, Rusty's is everything you would want in a RV Park. Large, 200-foot long pull throughs, good water pressure and excellent free Wi-Fi. We'd go out of our way to stay here again.
Great campground for an overnight stay. It's just recently opened so everything is new and in perfect operating order. Easy in and out from I-10 and the campground is a large level lot with good clearance between sites. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Great campground conveniently located on the south side of Austin on route I-35. Has very friendly and helpful staff. The campground has nice level sites with shade and there's a small heated pool and hot tub by the office. The only negative was that the roads were rough and needed resurfacing, but we were told that's on the agenda for this year. We'd certainly stay here again.
This is the second time we have stayed here. On our last trip it was named the RV Ranch and it was better maintained then. Campsites are gravel and ours had a number of deep tire ruts that required moving the motorhome around to get between them. The grass didn't look like it had been cut in awhile and was loaded with weeds. On the plus site, our site was as far from the office as you could get but the Wi-Fi and cable TV were excellent.
This is a great campground for an overnight stay or a weekend at the casinos. Convenient to the highway yet far enough away to be peaceful. It has easy access to all sites, is very clean and has a friendly staff. Wi-Fi and cable TV were excellent, and they had a free shuttle bus to the Ameristar Casino. This is the second time we have stayed here and we look forward to staying here again.
Excellent campground convenient to the highway. They have a free shuttle to the resort/casino and restaurants are nearby. Easy access to sites and plenty of room.
Convenient to I-20 and a good place to stop for an overnight stay. All the services were great but the grpunds were not maintained well. We plan on staying there again.
Small campground and it's a little hard getting in and out of. Friendly and helpful staff though and our campsite backed up to a creek. I think that most of the campers were there for the summer. We stayed one night in a motorhome.
