Really nice campground--easy access from the interstate, large and fairly level sites, plenty of helpful and friendly staff, activities for the kids (which didn't cost extra). The Wi-Fi only works right by the office and there's no cable hook-up but otherwise this is about the perfect place.
If you're looking for relaxation this is the place (no cell service)! Bath houses were rebuilt last year with an improved layout. Several spaces are large enough to fit the trailer, boat and two pick-ups, though it is a little tight. I wish more spaces had electric and water hook-ups, but otherwise you can't beat it.
Photos on the website are all from the "long-term" section, not at all what we found in the short-term section. Sites are small, pack-and-stack, and very hard to access. Bathroom/shower in short-term was filthy; one of the shower stalls had no bench, hooks, etc., so the only place to put your things was the dirty floor; smoking in the bathroom isn't discouraged. The facilities in long-term were very nice and much cleaner, but venturing there got us dirty looks from the long-term campers. The pool is large and fairly clean but crowded; other campers seemed to have no courtesy for others--excessive horseplay, PDAs which weren't really appropriate around children. Most of the staff wasn't rude (one was). but also wasn't helpful. It's probably a step above staying in the Wal-mart parking lot, I can't imagine actually paying money to ever to back.
Large, level sites; wide roadways; large, well-maintained pools and hot tub; playground; organized activities for all ages. Staff is very friendly and helpful, as are the other campers. Campground rules are clearly posted and strictly enforced, which we like. Very peaceful. This is our first choice of campgrounds in this area. The laundry facility does stay busy, though, so a couple more machines might be a nice addition.
This was our third visit to Naylor's. Though there's not waterfront access there is a beautiful view of the river from the front two rows of sites. Sites are flat and huge (space for a camper, boat, and two pick-ups with room to spare). Bath house facilities are adequate (remembering there's more green space than pavement). We were disappointed that the owner's declining health pretty much prevents him from leaving the house now so we weren't able to visit with him more than just a few words through the window, but the staff is helpful and trying to keep things running as smoothly as they can. We'd definitely go back.
Great campground for the most part; grounds well maintained with spacious sites, showers and restrooms the cleanest we've seen, staff very helpful and friendly, there are organized activities available, and the ducks are a lot of fun. My only complaint: don't plan to use the (beautiful!) swimming pool on holiday weekends. Memorial Day Sunday there were so many local day visitors we couldn't get to it.
