An older park. Some construction work going on putting in a new office area. Running the office out of a travel trailer at the moment. It was dusty during our stay caused by the hot dry weather. A good place for a night or two for sure.
A little rough around the edges, but it's not a parking lot. The kind of campsite I remember as a kid. Owners and staff are great. Sites are huge and ours was level. Bathrooms are spotless. We really enjoyed it. Oh, and if you are a golfer go play Hyde Mountain. Spectacular. We would like to make this a 3 day spot next year as well.
First off, not my style of campsite. Everyone parks in rows. That is where the negatives ended. While checking in I mentioned we had a couple of dogs. No questions about breed or anything. The lady at the desk handed me a couple dog biscuits wrapped in paper and tied with a piece of yarn. Turns out the paper was a note from their pets to mine. Thought that was a great touch, also what sold us on the place. Washrooms sparkle, great area for the dogs, and the staff is great. We would stop here again without question.
Stayed for one night. I don't think I would stay longer because it's just not my cup of tea. No shade. Sites are long, wide, and level. Did not make it as far as the showers/washrooms. Very good dog area. Good spot for a stop over.
We stayed here about 3yrs ago. It was pretty rough then and were quite excited to be going back. Nothing had changed still rough. The folks that look after the place are helpfully and friendly. The location is nothing short of awesome. I would have rated it much higher if some improvements had been made.
Shaped like a circle with lawn around the in each site's backyard. The tent sites are grass. 14 full service rv sites and some tent sites It was clean with clean washrooms. Next to the river, has a decent beach area, community type fire pit, horse shoes. Also has a dumpsite and a boat launch. I wouldn't want to stay here long term but it is great for a couple day stop over.
