The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a small but mostly free game room and 2 playgrounds: 1 for small children, 1 for bigger kids. There are lots of trees and a few open spots for satellite. There are limited numbers of sewer spots (I'd reserve if possible). The spaces are tight but they greet and help you get in and out. There are laundry facilities. Trash is picked up twice per day. I Was nervous from previous reviews but needed a place for 1 weekk in the area. It was definitely better than previous reviews suggested. I would stay again.
Nice campground. Great, friendly, helpful management. Love the laundry facility. Room to sit and work on things while doing laundry or by pool so can swim between loads. Nice folding/hanging area. Pool has a side section for little waders (old or young) besides the main area for laps/playing. Bathhouse is nice and clean. Playground is great for all age kids. Ours spent a lot of time here. Nature trails. Lots of photo opportunities. Great set up with event centers for weddings, reunions, outdoor concerts, rally, etc. Close to Wal-Mart and other stores. Near train tracks but trains didn’t bother our family at all. Would definitely stay here whenever in the area.
Rate w Good Sam Discount. Nice pool - 9' deep allows diving in that area. Some playground for kids but nice. Very friendly campers, long term and transient. Nice laundry room. Nice bath area. Pretty park. Would stay again. Management allows a local gentleman (Rob) to washing rigs that came and washed our rig for us. Did a great job for a great price. Much cheaper than Camping World and came to us. Another plus for the park.
Passport Campground and rate based on 1 wk stay. Pretty area. Lots are different sizes and parking an issue in some places. Office people very friendly and helpful. We had to take our rig to Camping World for repair and thus only got to stay 2 nights of our week but management was great and worked with us. No playground area for kids but nice for walks and bike riding. Convenient to Interstate. Much nicer campground and better condition than Bolden's where we stayed previously and incurred damage to our rig due to their tired electrical boxes with no compensation from owner/mamagement.
Old Electric. Box burned up 3 cords and owner wouldn't compensate even with buying 2 cords from him. Had to use generator. Others in park had issues with old electric and management not helpful. Nice pool. Great residents. Would stay again if electric was up-to-date but have had to have costly repairs on rig due to the electrical issues at the park so ... will go elsewhere. Didn't honor 10% discount card they give out.
Used to be KOA, but not anymore. Haven't removed all signs yet. Sites not level. Not kid friendly. Hot tub area dingy. Laundry room unkempt. Lady we registered/paid was friendly but when the other 2 in our party checked in, the person they got was rude and tried to charge them extra because of discount given to us. Careless with mowing/weed eating. Pelted our rig and ran mower over our carpet tearing it up. Refused to repair or compensate for destruction of property. Tried to go back and redo rates from when we checked-in. Sign says $29.99/night. We were here on Passport rate, but once we approached them about carpet they wanted to make us pay $53/night instead. We packed up and left immediately. Will not stay here again nor recommend.
Great, friendly park. New drive-through pads are nice. Nice camp store. Loved the trash pickup ea AM. Park owner is very friendly and accommodating. Sites are tight in older section but still good for the area. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Rates go up during Peak Season and they stay full so call ahead. Tell Sean in the office "Hi!" from the Watkins people.
New park. Pretty. Caters to motor coach, snubs 5th wheels. We camped off season. Wouldn't let us have a concrete pad (not a motor coach) even though empty most of the time we were there. 1 friendly person in the office. People parked next to us had office use inappropriate language with them. Everything is closed off season except for pools and 1 "cold" tub. Grass was not mowed. Not a good experience compared to other places we have stayed. Not friendly in general. Pay WiFi only.
Wi-Fi only avail to just a few sites right next to office. Have to take laptop to laundry room or sit out front. We stayed in back by the lake. Lake is pretty clear in the sand/swim area. Nice dock for fishing/swimming. Clubhouse w/pool table. Swings and teeter-tooter. Covered pavilion. Office staff not very friendly nor willing to work with you. Definitely agree w/other reviews on the gossip factor. Not our favorite place to stay, don't know if we'll stay there again. We were there for 3 weeks.
Nice park. Concrete pads. Tall trees between sites. Exercise room/clubhouse. Wi-Fi is currently only avail near office. Working on getting antenna to back area. Service Center next door will come get rig to repair. Nice staff at campground and repair center however check service done thoroughly when complete as several items addressed were not fixed just patched to look good but didn't make trip to next location.
Nice Park. Friendly office staff. Sites real close. Had to move a vehicle to get in/out or site. Great fenced pet area. Shuffleboard, clean pool. Playground is limited and mostly for babies. Live concerts one night a week. Store is limited in product offerings. Would stay again. Paved roads.
New concrete patios. Drives are sand. Well water is cool & tasty. Easy to get to local businesses, mall, stores. Keeps grounds clean and picked up. No playground or pool for kids but ours loved playing in the sand drive and with the water hose, slip-n-slide, etc. Perm residents are older but friendly. We stayed for 2 weeks while working and will returning for another 2 next month. Office open M-F 1-5pm only. Call to set up Wi-Fi pass/code if coming in on weekend.
