This park consists of primarily permanent sites, but has about 20 sites open for nightly use. It does not have a full-time staffed office, so the owners must be contacted by phone for check-in. There is no dump station and no sewer hookups, but staff will pump out holding tanks for a $10 fee. The owners were very friendly and helpful, as were many of the permanent residents. We would return if there was a need to stay close to Plover, WI.
One of the Dane County parks located in the Madison area. The sites are in a park like setting with large trees, which limit sattelite use. There is some traffic noise. Restrooms/showers are some distance from the rv sites, as they service the beach and playground area of the park. They are rather dated, but useable. Water is also quite some distance from the rv sites. This an acceptable campground, while visiting the Madison area.
This is a nice county park, which per the campground host, typically has open sites on weekends. It has an updated shower/restroom building and paved interior roads. Several sites would accommodate big rigs, but the numerous trees would require cautious entry. The wooded campsites limit any satellite use. Limited recreational activities in the area cause the overall rating to fall short of excellent.
