First off I want to say that the owner is a very wonderful and helpful woman. This is an older park, needs a little TLC. But all in all a good place for staying while checking out "Custer's last stand battlefield". Also if you get a chance to see the reenactment it is well worth it. Hardin days is a blast and they have lots of things going on. She said she had Wi-Fi, but I could never connect. Verizon signal was great. Good water pressure and good power. Place seemed overpriced to me.
Trains, Trains, Trains. Initially we wanted to rate this park an 8 or better, BUT as the weekend approached the trains got to blowing and blowing and blowing, at all hours of the night. The owner is AWESOME!!! Very knowledgeable about the local area. The VFW is the place to have a drink and chow. Verizon cell/data was great. Satellite was easy to get. We would stay again, even though the trains were a bit of an evening issue for those of us that do not sleep so soundly. (All you prior infantry Marines know what I am talking about.)
The park is out of the way, but good for Wichita exploring. It is quiet, but it is an old KOA and the sites are "facing" each other. Our door was right across from a couple that came and went all hours of the day, let alone somewhat intimidated by him carrying a handgun around. There are mostly permanent residents. We should have requested a site toward the front. We will not stay here again.
Passport America park. This is a very people friendly park, owners are great! We were one of two campers in the park. Right next door to the COE Table Rock campground. Mostly seasonal rigs in the park. Now the bad. Windy steep down to the CG. Entry to the CG is very steep. This is the first park in 7 years of full timing, that we damaged our rig, ruined a water jug, and bent a guard bar on our genny. Back ins and pull throughs are tricky and tight, but there is a lot of room between rigs. Satellite only if you get the right sites. Verizon cell worked, but not a good signal. We would not stay here again.
Not a destination, but a good place to just sit back and relax. Not much to look at but it is quiet, some road and train noise but it is off in the distance. Great Verizon cell/data. Great satellite. Easy back in. Yes Grizz's son is a great guy! People in the park look after each other. We would stay here again.
Great place! Owners go out of there way to help. Very clean, very quiet. Very good Verizon cell/data. Most spots are good for satellite. Some creative leveling required on a few spots. All in all great place. Must see the Diamond Caverns, it is much better than Mammoth Cave NP.
Must say we don't normally give this high of a rating, but darn, this place is awesome!!! Very quiet, important to us. Very friendly owner, very helpful. Clean restrooms, and laundry, only a $1.25 to wash, $1.00 to dry, nice after full timing for the last couple of years. Most of the sites are permanent, very clean, mostly weekenders from Ohio, so no one is around during the week. The sites are plenty large, wide and deep. We will be back!!!!
Nice park. Has lots of trees, need to be creative to get a satellite signal. Nice to see the deer each morning and night. No cell service, but you can drive to the picnic area and get full Verizon service. Fresh water available and a dump station with rinse and fresh water fill up. We would come again.
Very nice park, great facilities, and awesome location. Yes, the Amish kids visit to sell their baked goods, very nice. Great Verizon cell service. Did not use the offered WiFi. Walk to town and enjoyed it, but beware most of the businesses are NOT Amish owned and the stuff is garbage from China. Drive around and enjoy the country side!!! We will return...
Great location to visit Gettysburg. Quiet at night. Good water pressure and power. Verizon cell/data excellent. Great and very helpful staff. On the downside the sites are not very level. Lots of trees in some area so satellite can be creative. Restroom were cleaned twice a day, but because there were around 75 or so Scouts in the park tent camping, while we were there it was a challenge keeping it clean. We would stay again.
Very nice park. Here due to review from RV Park reviews. Very, Very quiet, this means a lot.. Site good and level, most sites are lake front. Escorted to site. It is long drive to anywhere in this case outer banks. One thing, they have a sign on the entry door saying "No Smoking"; upon entry both gals are in the area in back of the office smoking... Goose and Gander thing I guess.. Verizon was weak but worked, great satellite, both TV & Data... We would stay here again. Rate was PPA rate.
Must say we were very disappointed in this place. We stayed based on previous posts. We would appreciate if people that post please tell about Train noise: yes there was. A lot, highway noise, yes there was a lot. Some of us do not sleep well with background noise. Also the sites take some very creative levelling, also very tight turning due to the amount of trees. Now the good. The staff was AWESOME!!! We had to go through 5 sites before we found one that would work. The first night the group across from us had a Beagle that was in a crate outside all night. Well, lots of opossum, and raccoons along with deer, and what is a Beagle going to do. You think!!!??? Well in the morning we let the rangers at the front desk know on our way out to explore and by the time we got home the Beagle was gone. Also this place is a good location to explore Jamestown, Williamsburg & Yorktown. All a MUST see. Very good Verizon, roof mounted dish will more that likely not work, we were lucky and have a Vue cube, moved it around a few times and got a good signal to watch the BBall playoffs.
Very nice little park, very friendly on site owners. It is on a busy hiway, and on calm nights could hear trains. Good satellite. Excellent Verizon cell/data. Some spots are muddy after a rain, but good level sites with concrete pads. Pool was being repaired. We would stay here again.
For a "membership" park this one was OK. Lots of trees so very hard to get satellite. For a daily fee could get cable and/or WiFi. Good Verizon cell/data. Very nice people in park and office. Good for an overnight stay. Rough roads coming in and leaving. They wanted to give a presentation but we declined and they were good with that. Price is PPA. We would stay here again.
Would have rated higher but it is right on a busy Hwy, and I am a very light sleeper. Beautiful settings, right on the water with a marina and what is said to be pretty good fishing. Restrooms really needed some attention as did the laundry. We don't have a problem with older but at least keep it clean. Mostly seasonal but very friendly people. We would stay again if need be, as all the parks in town are on the Hwy. Great Verizon cell/data. Great for satellite.
Very nice and helpful owners. All pull thru's. Remodeling for a club house. All Grassy sites. All in all a very nice place. A bit of road noise from I-95 or I would have rated higher. We will be staying here again. Rate is PPA. Verizon very good cell/data.
This CG is hard to rate. In the beautiful keys, great out here. But we have noticed that pretty much all the RV parks down here are on the main highway, need to be as there is just not a lot of land available. Noisy highway, but nice laid back park, staff was very friendly, everyone in the park was nice. Tight spots on the interior but some good wide sites. Price is Passport America, so we did not get a premium site. Beautiful Gulf coast location. We would stay again. Great Verizon service. Did not use the Wi-Fi, but heard it was good. One thing, they do not have a sign "up the road" to tell one you are there, we drove right by there, good thing there was a out of business facility a 100 yds down the road to turn around.
Lots of hype, little fluff. Very tight, if the facility was anything near full we would have had a heck of a time getting our 5th wheel parked. Has very narrow roads, no pull through sites. Good Verizon service, good Satellite TV and Motosat. Water was brown, even with two filters and a water softener. Asked around and the word was no one got sick from it. Typical Passport America park, good for a night, then move on. People were very friendly. We would more than likely not stay here again.
For looks and quiet this place is a 10. But we were very disappointed that the concessionaire at the gate does not recognize the "access pass" we have. This is the first USFS facility that did not honor this. Good cell service, had to set the direct TV out and about to shoot thru the trees and the motosat no way. But again very peaceful and serene.
Managers are not the brightest. Gave us the wrong street address to have a UPS parcel shipped. Rate is Passport America rate. Walked into the restrooms and they were disgusting. People in the park were great, mostly snowbirds. Has a nice little pitch and putt golf course. Out of the way and very quiet. Great Verizon cell/data. Did not use the WiFi. Probably would not stay again.
Probably the best RV park in the New Orleans area, did not check out the state parks in the area. Very informative and helpful staff. Great shuttle into the french quarter. We had a great time and would stay here again. Great cell/data service, Verizon.
First off this is NOT the nicest RV park in Grand Isle, as previously stated: the State Park is the nicest. But this more than likely the friendliest RV park in town. The owners are great, full of information, and quite the fisherman. They took us out, we caught fish and had a great time. Both are very up on local history and very willing to share their knowledge. Park is clean, no shade, spaces are tight, but all the commercial RV parks in town are that way. Concrete pads are handy and new. Verizon cell service: voice and data were excellent. We would come here again.
Nice and secluded. A gem of a park. Facilities are spread out all over so bring extra hoses. No Verizon cell service, good satellite both TV & Data. Not much to do in the area just a good place to relax and take in the sun and have some good down time. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We would come back again.
Nice location as far as views, but it is right next to a working dock yard, so 7 days a week there is continual noise during the day. Saturday night there was loud music late into the night.
Combine that with the shrimp boats sitting and idling their engines off and on all night and one has to be a heavy sleeper; we are not. Verizon worked well, good for satellite, both TV and Data. Looked at the laundry. Though small, it was clean. We will not be back.
Very clean and except for some highway traffic, quiet. If you're a light sleeper, better move on. I am; we should have. Also they need to take the word "Luxury" our of their title; it's just a plain ole RV park. Staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable about local things to see and do. We did go to Corpus Christie and go aboard the USS Lexington. Great Verizon cell & data, and I saw the WI-FI, but we we use Motosat. All in all there are several other local RV spots that looked as good but are much less pricey. Mind you, we did use our PA discount for the noted rate. Sites on the row we were put in were VERY narrow, just enough for slides to go out I sat in chair outside and looked right in the neighbors rig.
Nice Park, friendly and helpful staff. We had a river front site, very nice!! Great views. Saw lots of fish being caught, though it was stocked twice in two days. Verizon phone worked well, Motosat no problem. They do a good job of keeping this place clean. Have been told it is crazy busy Memorial Day to Labor Day. Rate was based on week stay. We would stay here again.
Very, very quiet park. Somewhat hard to find, but if you get lost give them a call and they will come get you!!! Very laid back, constantly working to keep the place up. Laundry has new machines and $1 per load. Great Verizon, but no motosat due to large trees all over, we used the Wi-Fi and it worked great. Got to go see Roy Bean Museum in Langtry. Deer every morning and they encourage you to feed the EMU.
Nice little park, out of town and very quiet. Deer running thru the park at sunset. Great staff, not sure what the previous review was about. The Gals were great! They check up several times a day and are very friendly! Clean lavs, and laundry, outdated but very clean. Nice location to see historic sites and Big bend NP.
This place is a dump. New ownership does not equate to "new facility". Right on the interstate exit, I do mean eastbound exit, one could if they did not know the exit in the park, turn west and head into oncoming interstate traffic. Very dusty. Self check in, but very confusing. Sign says, $30 for 30A and $35 for 50A, none of the sites are posted for what the amperage is. Also on the sign says something about no water, no sewer deduct $12, so we paid $20, as we were in a 50A site and don't like to use the 50A so we used the 20A plug. Short time later the host arrives and says this is a $35 site, I try to tell him that I am plugged into the 20A receptacle and will not be hooking up to sewer or water. He says "the new owner gives no discounts" instead of arguing I pay him $30, that is good. Restrooms are not clean. Good Verizon/motosat. Did not use the Wi-Fi. We will not be staying here again. Avoid at all cost.
Nice little park south of town. A bit far for exploring the area, but for the price well worth the drive. Great Verizon cell/data service. Must go see the Pancho Villa SP 25 miles south in Columbus, very, very interesting and informative!!!! Staff was great at check in, but saw that they have a lot of work campers and some are not as informative as others. We will stay here again. Price reflects PA discount. Very clean park.
It has great sites, and the lavatories are clean. The campground hosts let you know they are there. Great Verizon signal. It is very quiet. I would have rated higher but $25 for water and sewer seems a little high. There are less expensive places to stay in the area, as there is a lot of sights to see in the part of Arizona.
This is a very nice place. Would have given a 10 if it had a comfort station and laundry. Very quiet. Winery right across the street with good eats, tasting and gift shop. The on-site manager is VERY helpful and knowledgeable about local sites to see. No problem with Satellite TV/Internet. Great Verizon signal.
An Idaho state park that is great. Awesome friendly staff! Due to the time of year we had our pick of the sites, and got a great view. No sewer but a dump station on the way out. Had a good time fishing. Will stay again. Great satellite reception for TV/Internet. Great Verizon signal.
Nice park. Easy to get around. Great WiFi, which is good as I could not use my satellite internet due to trees. I had to move the dish around to get TV. Lots of street noise. Very friendly people in the park. In town and close to most anything. Very pricey for what you get. Good for a night or two.
Nice location. Not at all easy to navigate through the park. If you're not confident in maneuvering there are a lot of other RV parks down the road. Quiet, which is what we look for. Satellite is iffy depending on the site you're in, we requested another site from the one originally given so we could get service. Verizon phone is on one bar but worked OK. Not easy to walk anywhere as it is steep which ever way you go. We would stay here again.
Not sure why this place has not been reviewed before. Especially since several of the parks along the Alsea river have been. This is a very friendly park. If you have high tastes and an expensive rig maybe its not for you. No the restrooms and showers are not new, but very, very clean. Yes there are permanent residents and trailers here and no they are not new. But the managers are great, the owners very nice. Its very, very quiet. The fishing is awesome if you get here the right time of year, and seeing Elk walking thru the park is just special. We highly suggest this park. Yes we did go thru all the parks along the Alsea Hwy and this is better than them all, yes McKinley's is new but we have a problem with a 100% concrete rv park. Easy drive to Florence, Yachats, Newport, and Lincoln City.
Very nice park. very quiet in the park, some road noise but close the doors and windows and its quiet... Very clean restrooms. Great owner at check in, lots of local info and things to do. Very good experience, would stay again. Excellent Verizon, satellite both TV and internet. Park has WI-FI free but did not use it.
Don't know why this park has not been rated before. We visited all the parks in Port Angeles area: not many good options. Yes, the county park is ok but very noisy. This park is great, off the main hiway, and very quiet at night. Close to all the places one wants to visit. The owner is a great guy. The nightly rate is $24, but the weekly rate is $95, a great deal when the rest of the parks around are about twice that. Yes, there is a lot of full time residents, but they are very laid back and tend to keep an eye on things for you when your out exploring. WiFi was great. Has satellite TV and internet great. Verizon cell excellent. We would highly recommend this park.
As noted earlier, this is a run down park with friendly owner. Very noisy, both the street and people in the park. I had to go out at 10:15PM, and ask neighbors to pipe down as they were keeping us awake. There are many permanent residents with run down units. We got up and left early. Will not stay again.
Great park in an out of the way area. Plenty of shade, in fact had to work to get a satellite signal for TV, none for internet, but the Wi-Fi is adequate. Very quite. Good Verizon service. Very helpful, if somewhat young, check in staff and workers. Would highly recommend.
Very nice place. Stayed a week for $150. Nicest park in the Spokane area. Would stay again, in fact thinking about spending the summer here in the future. Great WiFi, excellent Verizon signal, great satellite both Direct TV and internet.
Would have given a "10" but for the railways on both sides of the park and they run all night. Excellent WiFi, great cell service and 3G. No Motosat due to trees, and Satellite will work as long as you ask the owners for the right site. The Owners are "awesome" they came by couple of times a day to see if all was all right. They keep all the facilities clean, and are working to improve. They are a very nice couple and are trying there hardest. We would definitely stay here again.
Great park if you want to explore eastern portion of GNP. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. She keeps the park very clean. The laundry mat is spacious and kept very clean. A short walk to town will get you groceries, and knickknacks... Beautiful setting with park overlooking the river and mountain backdrop.
An old KOA that is run down. We ended up here late in the day after a delay in Helena. Whoever designed this place did not know what they were doing. Sites, full hookup, are in a "row" not in a line, so if they did get somewhat crowded you would be trapped till the people in front of you left. Town is nice, and the Museum is great.
Great campground!!! Very quiet, sites are very open and apart from each other. Even though alot of kids were in the park, they are hardly noticed. My wife and I have been in caverns on three continents, and go to everyone we see. These were by far the best so far, well worth the trip!!!!
