Adjacent to Jackpot Junction casino, very convenient. Called for reservation and staff told me they had 50-amp available, I asked them to hold one for me. I drove a Hundred miles, checked in and found that staff didn't know 30 amps from 50 amps! Should never happen! Golf course owned by the casino is a Rees Jones design, and is very nice, but the rate of $75 a round is probably too high for may campers. Casino offers a "Stay and Play" package deal for Hotel guests, but they do not include RV park guests. Makes RVers seem like second class citizens! Sites were a little narrow and are only crushed rock on the pads. All in all, not a bad place for a weekend. Security is present!
Great views, as campground is right on Lake Superior! Some sites have side by side hookups, which are always a little inconvenient. Also, more 50 amp hookups would be nice, along with more sewer sites. Very difficult to get reservations here, and most sites are taken, sometimes almost a year in advance. Campground is owned by the City of Two Harbors, and is well maintained. Lakeview National Golf course is just across Highway 61, is fun and inexpensive. It also can be walked to from the campground.
Campground is rated as the "Best in State" by Trailer life. Some people would find problems with heaven! They do have campground wide WiFi, but they could use more towers for better signal pick-up. Sites are as wide as any I have seen. I don't need help to back into a site, but I have seen other campers help those that did! Restaurants at the casino are very good, with "The Winds" steakhouse equal to some of best around the state. The golf course adjacent to the campground is well run and maintained, and is fun to play. Shuttles to and from the casino stop at the front of your site, very convenient! Finest restroom I have seen in a campground, both from a viewpoint of size, and cleanliness!! This is not a "deep woods" campground, so know in advance what the lay of the land is. Sites are paved, full hookups, free WiFi, free cable TV! You only need to position your RV correctly on the paved pad to reach all hookups! The town is a couple of miles away, and offers plenty of shopping for last minute items. We have experienced many wonderful weekends here, and it is our first choice within Minnesota. I am constantly amazed at some of the comments and/or reviews that campers write. In regard to amenities, recreation and dining, this is as good as it gets! Some people find fault we a "Free Lunch!"
