We found this campground by looking in a well-known campground directory. When we pulled in, we were pleasantly surprised at several things. Easy access off I-65 and extremely easy to maneuver through the park and to our site. The hostess was excellent. Roads are gravel but well maintained. Campsites roomy. Each site has multiple electric plugs, 50,30 and 20 amp. Shoneys restaurant gives a 20 percent discount to campers. Dandy RV gives 10 percent military discount. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. We did not get a chance to explore the town of Clanton.
Excellent park and very convenient from the interstate for a nice overnight stay. I was able to get a site with water, 50 amp, and sewer. Most are electric only with water points throughout the park. Nice big dump station. Would be a great place for an extended stay. Golf course is "right there". If you play golf, fish or just enjoy the outdoors, this would be a great place for an extended stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.
I agree with the positive comments from previous reviews. Getting phone reservation was easy with and individual was polite and helpful. Upon pulling in, the manager was walking up. We paid and drove to our site. There are a lot full time residents, but everything is kept neat, no junk. When walking our dog, I saw the manager sitting near the entrance and I joined him. Later, a couple of other residents arrived and we had a great visit. St. Joseph is nearby and has everything you need from WalMart to brand-name restaurants. Very convenient for overnight and a great place to spend several days to see St. Jo. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. We had a nice site with 50 amp service and our roof mount sat dish received strong signal.
We are not picky when choosing an overnight spot when traveling. This place was in very bad condition; many, many run down rigs. Voltage was 90 VAC at best. Glad I had my autoformer. When exiting interstate there is NO sign as which way to turn. I had to call them. Then it is jigsaw getting here. I finally received a site with no sewer in an open field. The owner was nice enough to give me a refund of $7.00. I would avoid this CG, even for an overnight while traveling. It is a Passport America park; discount does not apply on Friday and Saturday.
I must whole-heartedly agree with the other, recent reviews. I called to see if they could accommodate a 40' moho. The owner answered the phone and was very courteous and helpful. I reserved a site. Upon arrival, he took me in his golf cart to make sure I was happy with the site. I was able to pull in the pull-through site, without unhooking, with ease. Owner informed me that he has had the park a couple of years and it was run down when he bought it. He has done a great rehab job. Several full-time rigs here, but no junk. My site was shaded. Pull through sites have 30 amp with 50 amp back-ins available at no additional charge. Great, convenient over-night or a great place for extended trip to explore the area. "Bravo" to the owner.
