This is one of the few RV parks close to Washington DC. There is bus service to the Metro, but we chose to drive, which worked out fine. The laundry facilities are quite old and hot, but they have a nice waiting room with TV, cards, etc. The cafe offered just basic food which we did not try. The pool was kid friendly: too much so for us. We parked, in a pull through site which was very quiet. The site was super long so we could park our tow car in front of behind the rig. We spent all of our time power-touring WDC and loved it! The area of College Park is not very nice. Hard to find quality grocery stores, but did find Mom's Organic Market not too far away. Yes, we are foodies from California!
Camp hosts are super nice and helpful. They moved us to a 50 amp pull through as soon as it became available. Campground is super quiet and in a beautiful location in the midst of Amish Country. You can hear the sound of horse and buggies right from your site. The view from the rig is gorgeous. Right across the small street is an Amish family selling bake goods on the weekends and close by another family selling the most delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. We kept extending our stay because we loved this peaceful place.
