I really enjoyed staying here. We tent camped for the Labor Day weekend. When we got to our site, there was an RV there, so the people moved it. We had no fire ring or picnic table, but management brought us those items within a reasonable amount of time. There were many activities from community wide garage sales, to Bingo, to a DJ at night. They also had food on site such as breakfast and chicken dinners. The restrooms were not very clean, but I feel it was more due to the campers messiness, than staff's lack of trying to keep clean. They were here often cleaning. The only "dislikes" I have in regards to this campground were that: 1. People weren't made to clean up after pets so there was danger of stepping in doggie doo quite often. 2. Campers had to pay to use the pool. I feel that if you are already paying $25.00 a night to camp, the pool should be included. It was only $1.50 but it is the principle. Overall, this campground was a lot of fun. The people were friendly, and there were always a lot of activities to keep all ages busy! I would definitely come here again.
We stayed here on our way to Florida. We spent two nights in a cabin. The locks on the cabin were not very secure. Our cable TV consisted of about 2 fuzzy stations. The staff of the campground were very nice. They had a pool and game room as well as a playground for the kids. Everything closed down very early though around dusk. This was a bit frustrating. Where our cabin and fire ring were located there was no grassy area, just gravel, right next to the parking. In fact our fire ring was about 2 feet from my car tires. I had a good time here, but it wasn't what the website made it out to be, not for $50.00 a night for a 1 room cabin. I could have gotten a hotel room for that.
This was a very nice campground. You get the feel of being very far away in the country, although you are right next to a Wal-Mart. They had lots of activities such as a game room, putt-putt golf, and a swimming pool. Outdoor movies were a plus, as well. The pool was nice but not very big. The rolling hills and wide space campsites were nice as well. The only dislike I have in regards to this campground is that we were not able to bring our own firewood. I understand that this is due to the emerald ash borer, but their firewood was priced somewhat high. Other than that, this campground was great!
