We stayed 1 night at this campground while on our way north. After driving all day it was nice to have this campground conveniently located. The campground was clean and well kept. The roads were paved and we had full hookups. We were within walking distance to the beach and there were nature trails close by. The only negative comment was about the highway noise but it wasn't such a distraction that we could enjoy ourselves and sleep well. That would be the swap factor for being conveniently located - you can hear the noise from the highway. Overall, I can say that this campground was very nice and clean and we would stay here again.
Beautiful campground and the fishing was great. Son caught a 10+ lb trout and couldn't have wished for more! The campground was friendly yet quite. The lake was beautiful and the hiking trails were very nice. Lots of wildlife. Close to Yellowstone - was a great base camp for doing YS and still being able to come back and get alot of fishing in. Shouldn't even tell you about it - the secret might get out!
This a a very large lake - 20 miles long x 8 miles wide. We stayed at the Rendezvous Beach Campground located on the south end of the lake. This is a nice lake with many campgrounds around. Our area was nice and clean. It was the 4th of July weekend so it was busy but we still had privacy. The roads were paved and there was a lot to do in the area. We would stay here again. The lake is beautiful and the water is very blue. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
The rv park has been undergoing changes to become more traveler friendly. In the past the rv park was home to many locals who had taken over. When we stayed there it was pleasant and we were comfortable. There was security at the entrance and they made sure we had proper access. They were having trouble with the sewer lines during our stay but had it resolved before we left. The wi-fi was not very good. No tables or fire pits. They are supposed to be providing those in the future. We would stay there again. We walked through the neighboring RV park (Campland at the Bay) we felt we made the right choice to stay at Mission Bay. Less cluttered, cleaner and quieter. Easy access to surrounding activities. Brings your bikes as you can take a nice bike ride around the bay.
