Askew's Landing is like stepping back in time. It is like one of those parks I remember from my childhood. A place where kids can roam and explore in a safe environment, ride bikes, hike, swim, feed the ducks, etc. It is surrounded by woods with no traffic noise. Like the old days you have to dump on the way out, but even with that small inconvenience it is still worth a stay there. The staff is very friendly and the campground is beautiful. The bathrooms are older but very clean, and really only adds to the charm. We will stay there again.

It is an RV park, what can I say. Clean and the staff was friendly. Although it is kind of a concrete jungle. But it is right on the strip with easy access to everything. A lot of long term folks. We listened to the guy next to us tell about how "they" were out to get him. We stayed one night and drove to the Mojave dessert for the next night while our friends who were staying in a hotel gambled. For those who want everything they have at home and want to hit the strip, this is a good RV park. The Golden Steer is right across the road. Don't let the outside fool you; this is a 5 star restaurant and gives you a taste of old Vegas.

Had a great stay. The staff is what makes it great. Very small but very close to Roswell and easy access. All the normal hookups and the site was level and easy to get in and out. Honor system on things you need from the store late at night. The bathrooms and showers are older but very clean with good water pressure. The only thing is if you are not an early riser, it is right on the highway and it gets busy in the morning. At night it was not a problem. In Roswell the big surprise was the art museum was better than Santa Fe. Worth seeing and free. The RV parts place in town is also great, best prices I have seen, if you need something while on the road. I would stay here again.

This was a really good campground. It is what I think of when camping. Lots of nature, places to walk around and a great fire pit. We had friends from Germany with us. We stayed in the RV and they stayed in a cabin. The cabin was great. We grilled on the porch of the cabin and had a great time. We had all the usual hookups and the spot was level. Fire and Ice is also very close and worth going to. If you want a park that gives you everything you have at home this probably not the place for you. But if you want a clean, friendly nice place that gets you off the beaten path this is one of the best campgrounds I have been to in a while.
