Great little park. Only 29 spots but all have flat concrete pads with solid grass in between. Sites are well spaced so you don't feel cramped at all. The park is off the main drag a couple of blocks which makes it very quiet and peaceful. Showers and restrooms were spotless. Laundry had 4 washers and dryers and was very clean. Staff was very friendly and owner checked out the site and assisted in backing us in. Water, electric, and cable hookups very handy in a lighted pedestal right adjacent to the pad. Park was close by many restaurants, grocery stores (Publix, Walmart), very large Premium outlet mall, and several great golf courses. Passport America rate accepted throughout the year where most parks in the area will not accept the PA rate January-March. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
Very handy location in a residential neighborhood off the main roads yet within a few blocks of some of the main shopping and restaurants in south Arlington (Cooper & I-20). Sites are gravel but level side to side. Lots of shade so the portable satellite will probably not work. Only problem was the cable was unknowingly out on a row of sites. However, with the number of local channels available via antenna, it did not bother us. The park was working with Time Warner to get it fixed. Passport America rate is available for 2 nights. They also will accept Good Sam but not both on the same stay. Definitely would stay here again.
Hard to rate. For us it was an alternative to a rest stop or Wal-Mart parking lot. We just needed an overnight spot while in route. With the temperature at 107 degrees, it was better to be somewhere with electricity so we could run the A/C. This park has no frills and not even an attended office. There is a building with a sheet listing the price and instructions on filling out an envelope with your money, and slot to drop the envelope. Nightly rate was $22 and Passport America rate was honored. Thus, $11 for a cool night was well worth it. The sites are first come first serve and there were only a few permanent residents here when we arrived. By next morning, we were still the only overnighter. Sites were all level so we didn't even unhook from the tow vehicle.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The nicest park we have stayed at so far. The entire park is graveled so there is not any dirt or mud. Sites are level and elevation changes between sites are attractively landscaped with rock walls. Lots of pine trees with good shade. However, we had sufficient sight line for our portable satellite. Restrooms and showers were individual rooms each with a shower, toilet, and sink and very clean. Nice laundry. Owners were very nice and friendly. Location was south of Colorado Springs and off the main road so it was very quiet. Drive to Colorado Springs only took 20 minutes to the southern edge which had good shopping and restaurants. Passport America rate was honored for entire stay (3 nights). Wished we had come here sooner and could have stayed longer.
Sites were gravel and very level. Each had a concrete patio with table. Essentially no shade so portable satellite worked well. Sites were large and most had good space between neighbors. A couple of the other area RV parks were on the same road and neither looked as nice as this one. While they were not associated with either Good Sam or Passport America, you could get a 10% discount by paying with cash or check. We were not that impressed with the Buena Vista area so will probably not be back again but if we were, we would stay here again.
Our site backed up to a big creek. So, even though the park is adjacent to the main road heading to Estes Park and quite busy, the roaring creek drowned out most of the sound. Very level sites with lots of shade. As a result, portable satellite did not work. Cable was the only downside. Very snowy. Price was right compared to some of the Estes Park parks and proved very handy to major stores and restaurants in Loveland, yet close enough for day trips to Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. Would definitely stay here again but would call to see if they had fixed their cable yet.
Stayed here 4 nights while touring the Blackhills area. Shady sites. Overall site may not be level, but the RV gravel pads seemed fairly level side to side. Very friendly staff. Good laundry facilities with a change machine so you can use any time. Our particular site was on the end and had access to the Southwest sky, so our portable satellite worked well. However, many sites may be blocked by trees. Good location just outside of Custer which had one good local owned and one larger chain grocery store. While not the nicest, it was very adequate and a good value. We would stay here again.
We stayed here 3 nights and it was a very handy location as a base for the Badlands. Within one block walk to Wall Drug. Not much else in town so you need to go to Rapid City (about 50 miles) for any significant shopping, restaurants, etc. Owners were helpful and friendly. Sites were gravel but level, although quite close. Portable satellite worked well. Would stay here again.
All gravel roads and sites. Our site was pretty level side to side. Limited shade. Location was handy to St. Louis downtown area. I was visiting my sister that lived in Cahokia, so did not check out any local attractions. Overall, it was handy and satisfactory for my purposes.
