Big rigs beware. We camped here with a 38 foot 5th wheel and had a very hard time getting around the hedges that line all the lanes and sites. We saw others holding back hedges for the driver to get out unscathed. Not easy to get around.
This is a lovely campground for overnighters. There are only a couple of seasonal trailers in the campsight and mostly empty so lots of lovely sites available. In August they brought in gravel on all sites and the roads (in the Spring we had a bit of mud) - so the sites are great now. All level and lots of space between sites. Garbage cans very accessible. Lovely river view. Very quiet - close to the highway but no traffic noise (just far enough away). Highly recommended.
We loved this Park so much we keep extending our stay. It is convenient to everything - you can walk to the Fortress of Louisbourg and to downtown. WIFI worked great. Right on the Harbour with a fabulous ocean view. Sites level. Able to sit on the waterfront and watch the fishing boats go by. Make sure you visit the Lighthouse and Playhouse too as well as the Fortress. Laundramat clean and worked well too.
yes, $48 and only a Water/ Electric site. Campground was totally full - rigs are right on top of each other - not much space between. Very noisy - Quebec'er out partying and having a good time outside beside your trailer to the wee hours of the morning. We even saw someone urinating in the shrubs in the middle of the afternoon instead of using the washroom facilities closeby. We will NEVER come here again.
Although this campground does not have a view, it is one of our favorites in Nova Scotia. The sites are pull-through, level, not too close to the neighbors, and the laundry area and washrooms are spotless and clean. It is a well kept campground run by a very friendly family. We love it here.
