Terrific resort, with experienced, informative and very friendly staff. Sites are double wide and paved. Restaurant, fuel, pool, bike rentals, and a lot more amenities. Membership park: we were here for 15 nights at a nightly rate of $30.50, but only because the resort manager took pity on us. We were on a site that was designed for a cabin. We pulled in to take advantage of an excellent view, requiring long runs for hook-ups. If you can get in here, this is a first-class park. Others have mentioned, "Too many rules." We thought the rules were certainly reasonable. When you're hosting close to 500 rigs and cabins, rules are truly a necessity. Wish it hadn't been so dry. the grass needed water, but the long hot, dry and windy 2012 made that impossible.
Just spending the night, and this CG is OK. Site is level, and it has good Wi-Fi and cable TV. Critter waste all around the grass, and grass is weedy. Offers some shade. Would probably try another Buffalo CG if we come this way again.
Very nice CG within walking distance of downtown Cody. All members of office staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. You receive a full briefing regarding the Cody area when you check in--very helpful. We were in what may be the nicest site in the entire CG--#32. We may have been given that site because we made reservations in May-3 months in advance. The back-in site offered almost constant shade, a paved pad. good privacy (end of row site), and full hook-ups. The only negative was that except for sewer, hooking up required me to place my hoses, electric line and cable across my next door neighbor's "yard"--embarrassing to say the least. The CG should consider separating the hookups so that each site had their own. A newer area had pull-thrus, but offered little shade. The CG can get crowded, but the location and exceptional staff make it an excellent choice when visiting Cody.
Very nice park. Staff is terrific: go out of their way to help. Everything is kept spotless. Sites are gravel with generous grassy areas. Full hookups with cable: about a dozen channels. We were here for 17 nights, in two different sites. 4 types of sites for RVs. Back in with no vehicle (toad) parking (vehicles park in overflow area.) Premium back in with vehicle parking. Pull through. Premium pull through. Wi-Fi is included in price of premium sites. No discounts for weekly or monthly stays, but Good Sam discount applies. Most of our stay was in the new section, in a premium back in site. Regrettably, we could not use our awning in the afternoon because of wind. All new section sites put the awning side to the west, the direction of the prevailing wind and sun. Sitting outside was at best difficult in the afternoon and early evening because of the wind and sun. Also, tree placement is such that the front end of awning was in the middle of the small tree when extended: a problem that will grow along with the tree. This is definitely the premier RV park in the West Yellowstone area, and virtually every site was taken the entire time we were here.
