This park was just what we're looking for for a night. It's not really a "park" at all. There are about 12 RV sites, grassy, in the parking area of "Pedigree Catamarans". When I called, they answered the phone as Pedigree Cats. The RV spots are just a side business. Each site is overlooking the Willapa River. There is about a 15 foot, steep "cliff", so the river isn't easily accessed from the site, but it's easy to walk to an access point. Each site has water, electric, and sewer. There is even WiFi, which really surprised me. That must be new, as the older reviews don't indicate sewer or WiFi. There is no cable. They only charged $20. You pick your site, there's really no registration process. They ask that you clean up after your dog, and that your dog leave their cats alone. There is even a grassy field here for me to throw the ball to the dog. It is great for the price, and I'd stay here again!
This is a lovely park with manicured grass, full hookups, and it's on the Columbia River with easy access right down to the water. I'm rating it lower because of a couple things that bothered me. First, the price was fairly high. The place is nice, but it's not a resort. Second, it seemed like they charged for everything. If you have a visitor, they charge, they charge for coffee (it's good coffee though) in the office, etc. Third, although it's beautiful, it is WINDY. We were there 2 days and the wind was non-stop. Finally, there was an entire page of rules. The rules simply took away the friendliness for me. They were sure to explain what happened if you had a sewage spill, if your dog was off leash, etc. Even the garbage insisted you bag it. It wasn't that the rules were so hard to follow, it just seemed excessive. I felt like a kid in reform school.
This is a lovely park for us. There are a few trees, and we're parked by one, so have partial shade. There is a large grassy area right by us with picnic tables. It's also great place for our ball-obsessed Border Collie to run and catch the ball. There is a pool, and a shuttle to the casino on call. It's Saturday, but rates go down on Sunday. I'd definitely come back here. Nice little casino. The buffet food is quite good, and I'm not a huge buffet fan. There's also a golf course right here, and a museum/cultural center.
This park is just off the freeway and right on a river. (The river is down a small "cliff" with easy to walk stairs.) There is WiFi internet available in the restaurant/bar/casino. Our cell phones didn't work there, so we used the pay phone a lot. They do have a booster in the lodge that works if you have Verizon. They said that seems to be the only service you can get there even with the booster. Staff here were very friendly and helpful. We had mechanical difficulties, and they recommended a local mechanic who came out to our site. He was quite competent, and his price was way less that we'd have paid if we'd gone into the city. There is a small town right there (Alberton) that has an amazing bookstore.
This is a nice small park in a nice small town off the beaten path. They are friendly and helpful. There are trees, small yards, clean laundry room, clean restrooms, and clean showers. They also have an amazing little shop where they have one of just about everything you could want for your RV from storage door clips, to hoses, to roof vents. The park is right in town, so that's good or bad, depending on what you're looking for. There is traffic noise, but it's small town noise, so not bad at all. Vale also has a ton of murals in town, so if you want to sightsee a bit, you can. It's well worth the price!
We really enjoyed the ease of this park. It had a spotless laundry room, manicured lawns, and picnic tables. It didn't have other amenities such as a rec room, but we didn't need that. The manager was as friendly as you could ask for. We took an RV space right next to a large field area that was terrific for throwing the ball to our Border Collie. The park is right off the freeway, and so it was a great place to spend the night.
