We were in site #16, which is RIVERFRONT. The view of the river was SPECTACULAR; however we were hemmed in by the rig behind us. The configuration of the park is such that #16 and #17, with the most spectacular views of the McKenzie River, are unhappily intertwined. If the rig in #16 wanted to leave prior to the rig in site #17, the rig in #17 would have to move to let the rig in #16 leave. What a weird circumstance!!! However, we were here with a group, so it worked for us. It would NOT work for individual campers, who were not together. We did not use any of the park's facilities, so could not rate them. The park advertises "WiFi." Do NOT believe it. We were here 5 days and never were able to get out on the internet. Did not need to deal with park employees, so no rating there. Highly recommend for the gorgeous McKenzie River and surrounding natural, heavily forested beauty.
Beautiful setting smack dab on the Umpqua River. If you are into views, this is fantastic. However, there isn't anything much to do here unless you are a fisherman/woman. Children can play on the exposed rocks in the shallow part of the river. If you need to be connected to the world, you need to have your own TV/Internet connections. The park is also right on the highway. It did occur to me to worry somewhat about the fact our RV would literally be pushed into the river if there was an accident on the highway. Staff was friendly. It is a hairpin turn to enter the park from the west off the highway. The park is difficult to see if one is not looking closely for it. Signage could be much better and more visible on the highway.
Outstanding park! Beautifully landscaped, Willamette River steps away, large sites, lots of shaded sites, owner/operator superb. We already scheduled a week in here next summer. Nearby waterfalls, spectacular mountain scenery, historic covered bridge. Grocery shopping nearby. Come and stay, you will love it!
