Sites are very close and the quiet hours aren't enforced. Seemed as though there were several campers of friends there and they all stayed up very late around the fire partying. Ok for an overnight stay but not much else. The road in is narrow and crooked.
Showers were terrible, dirty, and very outdated. Camping sites don't look like there has been any maintenance in a long time. Mostly occupied by permanent set ups. Looks like a lot of weekenders found this place cheaper to store their camper than storage. Entrance road very, very narrow and crooked and I was in a truck camper. Anything any bigger beware.
Very nice campground. Like the others that have posted have said, the road noise is annoying during the day if you hang around the campground. Bathrooms and clothes washing facilities are very clean and rated a 10. Sites are a little close but is an excellent location for your base of operations while touring the area. The camp host is very friendly and helpful.
Camp sites were well spaced and clean. Our site was level and had a fire ring. All camp sites are gravel. There are drinking fountains though there are no water hook ups and one fountain has a faucet that you can attach your hose to and get drinking quality water to fill your tank if needed. They do have a dump site and washers and driers. Wildlife is abundant, saw whitetail deer multiple times while there inside the campground. Two adults camping in a truck camper.
This is the first campground to which I have given a 10. The bathrooms are spotless, the campsites are clean, and the sites are level. It was full, so I would suggest reservations. It is built on a mountainside but the sites are terraced in very well. This is not a remote secluded campground but there is plenty of privacy in my opinion. Great for a base of operations for touring the area. I will return and tell my friends.
