Very nice campground. Grass sites, but were level, we never unhooked. The restrooms were very nice and clean, the laundry was the nicest one we've been in. They had a tv set, a computer, magazines, iron and ironing board, tables and chairs, and travel info in the laundry room. Very nice playground, the only negative was the putt putt golf, and it looked as though they were working on it. Nice sprinkler play area. Would stay here again.
This campground was ok. It was too cold when we were there for the pool. The staff were very friendly. We were there 3 nights, and the wifi only worked about 2 hours, and then never worked again during our stay. We reported it twice, and was told it was the wind. But wind had never been a problem at any of the other campgrounds. So if wifi is important to you, as it is us, I wouldn't stay at this campground.
We enjoyed our stay here. This campground and the Circus Circus casino is very child friendly. Our 10 year old enjoyed their big pool and their hot tub. Very nice selection of gift items at their store. We had a very good time at Circus Circus, the largest arcade we had ever been in, and the games were all reasonably priced and they were very generous with their prizes. The free circus acts were superb. We aren't much on gambling, but we had a ball with with our daughter here. Actually we paid the extra $10 for a late checkout at the campground, so we could go back to Circus Circus.
Very nice new park, in a few years when their trees grow, it will be much nicer. The pool and hot tub was in their adjoining hotel, but well worth the walk or drive to it. It was indoors and very nice for our daughter when it rained! They had a decent little game room upstairs from the pool. Their playground was near the park office, and it was excellent. The laundry and bathrooms and showers were all very clean. All the amenities made up for being in a "parking lot", especially if you have children. Also free wifi worked excellent. We didn't take the train to Grand Canyon (we wanted more time there) but we were able to see the free western show, and we ate at the restaurant, all within walking distance from the campground. Very pleasant stay.
I wanted to leave a review, but we did not stay here. We had planned our Grand Canyon trip for about a year, with this campground being our destination. We drove up, and were so dissappointed. We couldn't believe all the good reviews. First they had only a few full hookups, and then when we looked at the pool, (as we have a daughter and this was very important). It was nothing like the photo on their website, it looked like a very old greenhouse cover over it. We left and drove back to the Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park and stayed there.
We stayed here just for one night as a stopover. We never unhooked our trailer. The hosts were exceptional, they said they would be there for 7 months. Pool was excellent, hot tub was in a seperate enclosed area and was excellent. Putt putt golf was the nicest of any campgrounds we stayed. It looked just like the photo on their website. We mentioned that we were probably not going to unhook, and order pizza delivered. It wasn't long before the host came on his golf cart with the phone number of the local Pizza Hut. I would say this was the nicest KOA we stayed our entire trip. I gave it a 9 because we were given the impression that this was not a very safe area. But we are always cautious, wherever we go.
