Still $14 with Texas State Park Pass (saving $5 per person daily entry fee). We found reservation is a bit more complex than usual. You may need to phone central reservation, rather than book online. (It kept saying no sites available for us!) If you want to take a walk over the park you must order a permit, again through Central Reservation. (But a different number: the group camping reservation number.) $5, but free with Texas State Parks Pass. Or, wait until after 10:30 a.m. on the day, for any spare permits. Guided walk is excellent. No support for self guided tour. Limited, but reasonable wheelchair access on walks. Surprisingly, we found cell and broadband access.
This was Good Sam Rate. Historic site on route 66: worth the stay to see the 50's cars/trailers and memorabilia in the office. Not a lot of space between units, but easy access. The location of the site maybe inaccurate on GPS. On I-40 take exit 149 and turn North, then East (away from Albuquerque) on Frontage Road. Pass Camping World, then on right. Only 10 minutes from downtown ABQ.
Price is now $27, Good Sam brought it $24. No Good Sam rate for weekly booking. Some sites very close together. Almost all the water bibs leaked to some degree. Some units used by working people (not a problem though). Nice Coffee House at entrance. Although it is close to the road it is not noisy. Very convenient for Espanola. Good site to use as a base for touring Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Taos.
Very pleasant and helpful at office. Disappointed that price a gone up from previous reviews. Very open, only water/electric, we doubled on a site and had to use the 20Amp. Plenty of open space to site rigs of any size. Go carts not currently operating.
