Campground roads are tight for a 40 ft motorhome but can be done with care. Due to location of marker posts, getting into our site (B8) was difficult and took some maneuvering. No full hookup sites except for hosts. Electric only with water spigots throughout loops. Neither potable water or flush hose at dump station threaded so we could not fill our tank nor rinse black tank. As others have said, sites are well separated: lots of privacy. We will camp here again. I want to have time to explore the area: lots of trails to walk, etc.
Rate reflects base rate plus $5.00 each for each extra people. It had been raining most of the day. The water spigots, recessed in the ground to prevent freezing, were under water. I checked two sites.both spigots were under about 6 inches of water. We could not hook up our water without contaminating our hose. Sites very close together. Okay for an overnight but expensive for what you get!
This campground has the best restrooms I have ever seen. There are multiple (10 in the bathhouse near us) private bath/showers that were meticulous. Sites are too close together. For an overnight this time of year, no problem. I would not want to be in this campground when most of the sites are occupied. Roads are in horrible condition but owners are addressing the problem.
Campground was adequate for an overnight stay. Individual in the office was very friendly. He led us to our campsite which was a good thing since we drove through a field: no road of any sort to access our site. I have no problems with paying a small amount extra for more than two adults but $5 per adult extra is a little much! Nightly rate for 2 adults is $27. Site was sandy. Swimming pool is under construction. Bathrooms were clean but small: two showers and one toilet. Overpriced for what we got!
Wi-Fi is available here for a fee ($1.00/day). There was lots of interstate noise but not a problem with fans on: a pleasant campground. We will stay here again.
This place is perfect for an overnight stop: definitely not a destination campground! A typical KOA: too many sites, too close together. This campground is new (one year old) and everything is very clean. Most sites are gravel. The owner was very helpful. There is easy on/off the interstate although the campground itself is not well marked. It's in the middle of a developing area and is not easily seen as you exit interstate. We will stay here in again as an overnight stop.
Campground is one of the few in this area..makes a good overnight stop. A little run down, my guess is it once was a KOA...sites are very close together. Bathrooms clean but need refurbishing. Pool permanently closed. Staff in office very pleasant. Very quiet, no road noise. We will stay here again if in this area.
This is a very pleasant campground: clean and well-maintained. It needs more bathrooms. One bathroom (commode, sink and shower) for each sex, period. A campground this size needs several more than one! Wi-Fi available but there is a fee for anything more than 10 minutes. Staff very friendly.
Nice park for an overnight stay. We were there on a week night so the close sites were not a problem since most were empty. A computer is available in the "Welcome Center" for campers' use. Free laundry! My only complaint was the showers. The shower handles did not work. I could not adjust water temp and finally gave up in frustration!
One of the few campgrounds on I-65 going through this region of Alabama (20 miles north of Birmingham). Makes a good overnight stop. Office personnel very friendly. Bathrooms immaculate. We were not assigned a site - choose our own. Sites are very close together.
Formerly a KOA. This used to be a nice place for an overnight stay as it is just off interstate. (Exit 100 off I-59) Have stayed there several times over the years. We were surprised to find this year they have become primarily longterm. I think we were the only transient the night we stayed. The store, bath area, and laundry were very clean. However, I felt uncomfortable in the park due to the condition of some of the longterm rigs. We will not stay there again.
