My family and I were very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities this park had to offer. The grass and landscaping was all nicely manicured. The lake area has a nice new playground along with several older playgrounds scattered throughout the park. The full hook up sites along Rt 82 (Section N) are tightly packed next to one another and the traffic noise from the road could keep you awake at night if you leave the windows in your camper open. To their credit however, all the sites were level and on gravel. Strangely the picnic tables are bolted to the patio. That can pose a challenge when trying to park your camper next to it and get your awning directly over it. There are planned activities for the kids all day long. The free daily wagon rides and movies (Yogi Bear cartoons) at the outside theater are a nice touch that the kids really enjoyed. The camp store has limited camping equipment and a few overpriced groceries and souvenirs. There's a modest game room and snack bar on site which can keep the kids occupied in bad weather. Most activities are free and they offer golf carts and pedal cars for rent. Criticisms aside, we will definitely make this an annual destination even after the kids are grown & gone.

A better name for this place would be "Sardine City". RV Sites are uncomfortably close together. They recently added several (way too many) cabins taking away what could be a little extra "elbow room" from RV campers. A large percentage of the cabins were empty on Memorial Weekend while the rest of the CG was packed to capacity. This could be because the cabins themselves weren't much more than backyard sheds with bunk-beds in them. Extremely rustic to say the least. That being said, the rest of the CG was relatively well maintained though the roads throughout the park could use repaving and or additional gravel. Before arriving our kids were excited when we told them there was a bunny farm at the CG (per their web site). However their "farm" consisted of 3 full grown rabbits that hid from view most of the time. The pool would've been nice had it been open prior to the weekend. It was being filled as we arrived. Consequently it was way too cold to actually swim in. A little foresight in this regard should be expected especially since Memorial Day weekend is historically busy for them. The shower house looked pretty gross. I believe they only clean it once per day. It could use some serious updating along with additional hand dryers (there was only one for the entire mens shower house) There really isn't much to do/see at the actual CG itself. However it is right in the heart of several area attractions (islands, Cedar Point Amusement park, several water parks, etc.) It's an OK place to sleep and eat, but that's about it. The CG offers an all you can eat pancake breakfast each morning. There is also a McDonalds directly across the street. The staff was helpful and friendly at check-in. The camp store was minimally stocked. So if you forget something, you'll likely have to run up to one of the area stores to get it. Warning: If you like a quiet place to sleep at night this probably isn't the place for you. The CG sits right next to the highway (Route 2). The exit ramp runs about 20 feet away from a row of cabins. If you camp in one of those you'll have the pleasure of hearing all kinds of vehicles speeding by 24hrs per day.

Every state park should use West Branch as the example to follow when it comes to campgrounds. In fact, private campgrounds could learn a lot from this facility. The sites were extremely roomy and mostly grass. The shower houses were all in immaculate condition and looked to be only a few years old. All the roads and pads were in great condition (asphalt). If I had one complaint it might be that there may not be enough room on the pad to park more than one vehicle if you're pulling a trailer and are using more than two vehicles. (One to tow and one for passengers.) They don't allow any vehicles to be parked on the grass. There is however additional parking at the camp entrance so even this isn't a huge complaint. There's a great play area for the kids and a sand volleyball court near the camp office. The park is impeccably clean. Their full hook up sites have very modern electric , sewer and water connections. Everything in the park looks as though it's only a few years old at best (with the exception of the woods in which it is located.) There are beautiful hiking trails all around the campground so if you're a nature lover, this place has it all. The location right on the West Branch reservoir offers fantastic lake views. The lake didn't have an open swimming beach while we were there (May). However during regular summer months there is a small grass and sand beach with concession stand available about a 10 minute drive away on the other side of the lake. The marina associated with the state park has boat rentals which are a bit pricey, but the lake offers open speed areas so it's a great place to go water or jet skiing. We will definitely be returning to this park - hopefully this year.

This was our first campground ever as we had just purchased our camper a few weeks prior. As such, we didn't really know what to expect. The CG was pretty full the weekend we were there. We were in a general - "park where you want" area on grass under trees. Since it rained that weekend, our site and most others in our area were pretty muddy. We chose this location due to its proximity to the pool and shower house - both of which were beautiful and more importantly clean. It didn't seem as though any of the employees voluntarily did anything about enforcing the quiet hours. Since I'm not one to complain I can't say whether they would have had I said something. There was a lot of traffic up and down our "street" until about 2AM. The facility amenities are great. Lots to do for kids of all ages including mini-golf, swimming, a game room and playground. I would recommend camping at a full hook-up site if available as you won't feel quite as crowded as the general camping area is during the summer months. If we go back, that's where we will stay, but I understand they book up well in advance. They had a planned social in the hall one of the nights we were there - some kind of country music thing. Though that isn't our family's taste in music, it was a nice amenity to offer their guests. We chose this CG because of its close proximity to Lake Erie which was right across the street. There is a viewing area where you can sit and look at the lake but no easy access to it. We had hoped there might be lake swimming available but there's not. Downtown Geneva on the Lake is somewhat of resort town that although it's seen better days, did have enough options for shopping and entertainment. The state park is just a few miles down the road and they have public beach swimming. All in all, for our first family camping adventure, Indian Creek was a nice experience and I'd recommend it to others.

Hoping for a nice relaxing camping trip, this CG left us somewhat disappointed. We were assigned a spot right next to the CG's main access road. Consequently, we heard traffic drive within 10 feet of our tent till about 3AM. The posted speed limit was a joke as everyone drove as though they were on a city street rather than in a campground. The restrooms could've used more frequent cleaning. Overall, we weren't impressed and likely wouldn't stay there again in the future.

If you're planning a trip to Mohican, this is a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful in getting us set up. They were pretty good about enforcing the rules (camp fires and quiet time). The CG's close proximity to one of the many canoe liveries, putt-putt golf and go-karts was great in that we didn't have to pack the whole family up in the car and drive to all those things. The indoor swimming pool and clean/modern shower facility was wonderful. There was plenty for the kids to do and the heavily wooded hiking trails are great if that's your thing. We liked this CG so much we have another trip scheduled there this summer.
