We agree with the previous reviewer about the sign being very hard to see. It is, in fact, cracked and also extremely small. Also, our Garmin GPS took us three blocks down the street from the motel and told us we had arrived at the address. Once here, we found a good place to stay overnight. We had a long pull-through which had room for our 38 ft. rig and F350 crew cab, long bed pickup. Sites are concrete, level, and easy to get into and out of.
This is a beautiful, peaceful park--one of the nicest places we have stayed east of the Mississippi. Park personnel were friendly and helpful. I am permanently disabled and have a Golden Access Pass for National Parks. Some state parks honor the pass so when my husband went in to register, I told him to ask if T.O. Fuller did. They not only honored it (giving us a rate of $10/night instead of $18) but they did so without asking to see the actual pass! Nice people, fantastic park--15 minutes from downtown Memphis.
This was our first stay in an Escapees Park. We were really impressed with how friendly everyone was. Two of our neighbors spent an hour helping my husband set up our dish and reset the receiver. We were only here two days but we met a lot of very nice people. The campground is very clean. It is a lovely area, peaceful with pretty views.
This was a very nice park with wide streets so it was easy to pull in, check in, and get to our site. We had a pull-thru that was reasonably level. We would stay here again anytime we were in the area. Very friendly person checked us in.
This is a lovely place, but it is not well run. The staff at the reservation center does not have a clue! Also, whoever decided to put the full hookup sites on this pre-existing, narrow, one-way road when many of the entrances are angled the wrong way for backing in, must not have been using any common sense. We would never have been able to back into our site if the one across the street had not been empty when we arrived. As it was, it took me and a neighbor to direct my husband through the trees, posts, and low-hanging branches into the site.
Nice campground in very wooded area. Easy in/out of pull-through site with full hookups, including cable TV. Excellent price. Campground is about 2 miles from I-81 and makes a great overnight stop: away from the highway noise but easy to get to.
Management extremely friendly and will do almost anything to please their guests--except fix the electricity. If you are camping in a tent, tent camper, small travel trailer or fifth wheel, you will probably do fine here. It is a peaceful, pretty spot on the river. Unfortunately, many of the sites are extremely narrow--no problem getting into them but look out your window and you feel as if you are practically in your neighbor's rig!
This is a very nice park--big sites, lots of trees, and very clean. I would give it a higher rating except that I think the price is very high, considering the following: (1)There was no cable TV and it is too far from anything to get any reception with an antenna. It rained hard for 36 hours out of the four days we were there so it would have been nice to be able to watch television; (2)they have two swimming pools but it was not possible to actually swim in either because they were both completely filled with young children. With two pools, I don't understand why they don't make one an "adults only" pool--even if only for a couple of hours a day.
