We camped here because we had friends and relatives in Calgary. The pull-through site we had was level but terraced so the grassy area for the picnic table was sloped and we did not use it. It was not convenient to sit outside with our chairs because of this. We found the pull-through sites were quite close and difficult to get into with a larger 5th wheel. Other non pull-through sites were larger had shade and more privacy. There was a small nature trail we walked our dog on. We found this a very convenient place to camp and would stay here again.
Very quiet, clean, pleasant and well-maintained campground. Friendly helpful staff. Nice playground for children and lots of dog walking space as well as a fenced off leash area with agility equipment. Cable TV worked well. Internet available at campsite, just a bit slow because of geographical location. No shade available but gravel sites are level and there is grass beside the gravel with a picnic table. Well situated to explore the Miette hot springs area. Hinton has lots of stores to purchase supplies, Wal-Mart, Can Tire and gas stations. We would stay here again.
Friendly helpful hosts who are relatively new 2007 owners. The grounds were well cared for. Many seasonal sites and lots of families with children and pets here on the weekend we camped. The sites were close together and rather cramped. The beach is sandy and great for young children. There was also playground equipment for younger as well as older children. Bingos take place on Saturday nights as well as other events especially for the seasonal campers. The cable TV was $2.50 day extra but the WiFi was free. Both worked very well. You get a 10% discount for Good Sam members or CAA.
We stayed here overnight on our return from the east coast to Ontario. We had a wide, level, pull-through, 3-way site in the open with a new cement patio. We got a CAA discount which basically saved the tax. The cable TV and Wi-Fi was a real bonus. There was minimal road noise but we did hear some trains go through before we went to sleep and after we woke up. This was a well maintained, well organized campground. There was a nice playground for children and lots of space to walk our dog. There was a small fee (.25) for the showers which lasted sufficiently long. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely camp here again.
This is a large campground with lots of space and you don't feel cramped. We stayed in this campground for 6 days. It was convenient to many area attractions. The sites were a good distance apart and there were many seasonal campers. There is a driving range and golf course on the site. There is a large playground. There are many areas to exercise a dog. There is a pool with a lifeguard on duty. There is a small store and laundromat on site as well as free Wi-Fi. There are 2 free showers & 3 toilets for women and the same for men but we never had to wait. I suspect most campers used their own trailer facilities. We would camp here again.
This is a new campground (6 years old). All the facilities were new and very clean. The owners have cottages nearby plus a small grocery store and laundromat. It is an open campground with no shade trees. The sites are wide, level and many are pull-through. All sites are 3-way 30 amp. The location is very close to the Louisbourg Fortress. There is a small playground. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and we got a few TV channels. There were no seasonal campers. We found the campground quiet and friendly. We would camp here again.
The campground was well maintained and clean. The Wi-Fi worked well. All sites were pull-throughs, very level and had gravel beds and grass. The campground was located near the road so there was road noise. We thought the price was high and they charged for showers .25 for 3 minutes. They also charged us an extra $2 because we had a medium-sized dog.
The campground was well managed with friendly staff. It would be excellent for children with all the activities offered including water slides, pool and playgrounds. The washrooms were immaculate with large showers that were free. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. There was lots of green space to walk the dog. There were many small cabins for rent as well. It was not a busy time when we were there. The one difficult part was to level the trailer on the upper level because of the slope. We received a CAA discount.
