Loved this campground. Very friendly upon entering and escorted us to our site. So much character in this campground. You really feel in the Redwoods here. There are massive trees all around, very private. When we looked around at other campgrounds everyone else was in the open and close together, not the case here. Close to all amenities and tourist attractions. Definitely stay here. New play park structure. Clean bathrooms and smaller family run campground.
Beautiful campground, very large trailer friendly. Concrete pads, with patio furniture and grassed in between sites and throughout the park. Small and very friendly staff. The bathrooms and showers are new and spacious, handicap friendly. I would have given them a 10, but I did have problems with the number of stalls for toilet/shower. There are 3 stalls, each separate which contains a toilet/shower and sink. So if all showers are being used one has no access to the toilets. This was a problem for us and could be for folks who do not have facilities within their units. This campground does not cater to "tenters" so be aware. I would definitely stay here again.
Very disappointed with this campground, had high hopes based on information from their web page. This campground is combined with seasonal and overnight campers and you can tell who gets the pristine sites. All overnighters including tenters are in the mud, so hope it does not rain. I was excited upon seeing the lake, however stayed away upon finding out there was a chance of "swimmers itch" and you should shower thoroughly after swimming. Way too many rules, more than I have ever encountered in my camping history. There are huge fines should you break the rules. My mistake in choosing this location. It is 1 hour, 30 minutes from Vancouver. So you may want to be closer to the city if you are touring Vancouver. There is absolutely no privacy: you are side by each. When I went to use the toilets at 6AM, I was rudely told that the bathroom was closed due to cleaning. Seems an odd time to clean the bathrooms/showers.
Poor check-in service. Arrived and had to wait 30 minutes to check in, we had booked in advance. Sites are not private and felt more like a parking lot. Really did not feel like we were in the mountains here. Sites are gravel. Loads of bathrooms, no problem there. Minimal showers and they are very much needed as there is only electric available, no water/sewage available on the sites. Fire pits are limited and in small quantity, so disappointed we could not sit around a fire when the nights cooled down. Beautiful surrounding area. If you're visiting the area you're not going to have a lot of choices as to where to stay, this is pretty much it.
Nicely greeting upon arrival and escorted to our site. Sites need to be reconfigured to accommodate for today's slide-outs, our site was incredible tight. We had to move the picnic table in order to make room for our neighbor. There is only one bathroom/shower building and not conveniently located for all campers. If this is something you need close by you may want to request that up front. Toilets are not recommended to be flushed during showers. I cannot comment on why as I showered in my trailer. For a night, very conveniently located right off the highway. WiFi was horrible and would not work for us. For a night, okay. Not for long term stay.
