We LOVE Jellystone. We have stayed here several times. The first three times in a cabin, and then we purchased our travel trailer. We go at least twice every year. The kids really enjoy all the water activities. We have a family tradition that we paint a ceramic each visit in the craft barn. We also go to the candy bar bingo which we enjoy. It is clean, very family friendly and we've only had one or two staff members that I didn't feel were friendly. But most of the time, the staff is amazing! They have hired staff to monitor the pools which is way better than when it was volunteer. There is always some kind of activity going on to participate in: hay rides, scavenger hunts, crafts in the barn. They also have mini golf, fishing pond and a huge dinosaur inflatable slide that goes up certain times of the day. We stay busy the whole time we are here. And I love the fact that they have staff available for late check-in. So even if you arrive after dark, there is someone here to check you in. It gets bigger and better every year.
We did enjoy our stay for these reasons: staff very friendly, cavern tour was enjoyable, 3/4 mile hiking trail was fun but that is where the good stuff ends. There was a sewer leak at the head of the trail that no one had done anything to clean up. The restrooms/showers are not attended to regularly. They have a VERY expensive laundry facility, but no way for patrons to get quarters for them. The rec room should be called "wreck" room and that is being generous. It was FILTHY! Do not let your kids go in there. I'm pretty sure you could get sick from the germs in there. Besides the fact that the TV is ancient, and it only has a VHS player. There was spilled coke everywhere that no one has bothered to clean up, and the bathroom I'm sure carries disease. Lastly, the litter around the park has been there for awhile. I could tell by the age of the containers lying around. It's too bad that the maintenance stinks, because the park is overall pretty and could offer so much more!
