Very few rigs in park so parking the 5th wheel was easy. Park and restrooms are modern and clean, gravel roads and pads. Park is located about 6 mi. from town (2E & 4S) so it is far from the crowds but it could be inconvenient for someone wanting a location close to restaurants, etc. Location is next to all the local favorites such as Custer SP, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore, biking trail, etc. Would stay here again.
Newer park with attentive owner (John Davis). Using PPA we paid 10.50/night. A few miles north of town on Hwy 54 which provides some road noise. Good place to stay when seeing the many area sights. Owner says he is adding a meeting room and game area in an adjacent house when the tenant moves out (today). We stayed in the new area, no shade, level sites.
Nice clean park, regular camping fee is $10 (no park pass required), electricity site is $4 more. Some road noise as this is near Hwy 518. Water is free at each site. Near local shops as noted in previous post. Can pick up Alb. TV stations on antenna.
Sites are close together - our neighbors sewer line was next to our table. Many full timers there. WiFi worked only sometimes, especially when it was hot outside. The access to Eugene and I-5 is good. We stayed there a week.
Very near exit on Hwy 101 but little traffic noise. Strip mall located about 1 mi. from camp with grocery store. Located on the north side of Arcata and close to Eureka which has most of the population. Great place to stay when exploring the north CA coast and redwood forests.
Nice hosts, about 12 mi from Roseburg via I-5. Near logging mill which has heavy truck traffic at times and noise. Golf course is short (<100 yards for each 6 holes) but fun to try out pitching and putting. Level sites, very good wifi reception, each site has ample area for each unit. Many long term units in area, call ahead for reservation, we extended our stay since it was in a nice area.
Regular rate is around $36 and got 10% discount with KOA card. Very nice place near interstate with little traffic noise. Could be windy at times but it was calm for our stay. Great place to stop for a night.
New owners that are still trying to get organized, they will work with you but check your site before parking to locate hookups, tree limbs, etc. We had to change sites 3x for an acceptable location. Stayed there 4 days. They have an indoor hot springs pool and sauna rooms ($) next to the campground. Great view of the river and springs coming out of canyon walls. Hagerman is a very small town with limited services but you can use the computers in the library to get on the internet - no charge.
