All the previous reviewers comments are true, it is basically a parking lot with power and water - note No sewer (does have a dump station) but it is just so convenient for the PATH subway to NYC and also has shopping and cinemas close by. Just up the street is a little pub where I had one of the best steaks of my life. Having never been to NYC I was concerned about taking a wrong road and emailed the staff beforehand and received good reliable instructions. One comment of importance you are not allowed to have propane on some bridges and in tunnels so check this out. WiFi might as well be none existent as it was out for 4 out of 7 days so if this is important to you make other plans. Restrooms are old but reasonable. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it.
This park is a combined RV & golf park with a good 18 hole golf course and a very average Par 3 course. It has many long term campers however we were parked well away from them. The site we had was next to the Par 3 golf course with good shade trees. The site was a back-in and all hookups are at the rear, so we had to push up against the trees, which was good for shade. The restrooms and showers are very old but are reasonably clean. The park has Wi-Fi but only at the pro shop and restaurant and is very slow. Access is via sealed road which is tight in spots. Unless you are a golfer I would find another place but if you like golf then this place is OK.
One of the best campgrounds we have stayed in. The owners really try to make sure that you are happy and even provided us with some of their own produce. We had a pull-through and used the washrooms which were spacious and clean, plus the Wi-Fi was good. The only thing missing was cable otherwise it would have rated a 10.
For the price certainly not one of the better KOAs we have stayed in. Very poor Wi-Fi. Sites are very close together such that our awning touched the RV next to us, so we could not put it fully down. Close to highway with noise but on the plus side very convenient for the Falls, etc. Washrooms, laundry, etc. were satisfactory and staff were helpful with tours, etc.
This park is certainly tranquil, with shady trees, however it is not much of a park. In addition to the rate of $45.00 they charge $5.00 for Wi-Fi which barely allows you to download email, they charge for showers, and have no laundry facilities. The park is mainly full timers. Grass parking bays and no real facilities other than the basics. We stayed here 3 nights.
Due to a breakdown we were forced to stay here for 10 days. It is nothing more than a parking lot with hookups. It is advertised as having cable however the system they have requires that you place a deposit for a digital box. Having obtained the box I still could not receive cable and it took all of 5 days before finally a tech came and got it working. The owners are fully aware of the problem but say there is nothing they can do as they are under contract with the provider. Another issue with this park is the exceptionally HIGH WATER PRESSURE in excess of 100 PSI, our neighbor pulled in with a motor home hooked up and promptly ruptured his water lines due to not having a pressure reducer, no-one apparently told him about it and he did not read the notice. A lot of noise from freight trains going past all night plus the highway also did not make our stay pleasant. The park is convenient to St. Charles and St. Louis however I would not stay here again.
