We stopped at the KOA and they were nice when we ask for directions to Mt View RV Park. Their rate, by the way, was $28.50 less 5% for Good Sam Members. Mt View RV Park looks just as nice and my PassPort price was $10. Easy pull thru FHU sites, free WI-FI, cable, & 50 amp. I was in hog heaven. Wish this place was everywhere I go.

This place is real easy to get to off I-57 and I-63 in Mt. Vernon. We had a fairly level site with water and electric only for $18. It's a fairly run down campground but is a good place for a quick overnight stop. Wal-Mart Supercenter is handy and nearby and some restaurants and truck stops.

Coast to Coast Good Neighbor park $13, in 2006 The place isn't very friendly and looks run down. Had a pull thru site with water and poor electric. Couldn't run both A/C's because it would kick off circuit breaker. Couldn't get out with satellite because of trees. Good place to stay the night but don't count on any thing fancy.

We found this to be a very pretty well kept public campground that was also a Coast to Coast park. They had pull thru sites although we had a pull "in" site facing the stream, with full hookups and cable TV Were charged a surcharge of $6 for Cable TV for the two days. Had to pay for cable even though we didn't want it. We did have free Wi-Fi that we didn't know about or anyone mentioned.

I have duplicated much of the previous review because it describes what I found there in the summer of 2006. Convenient location just off I-40/I-85 but it is tricky to find if your not well prepared. The maintenance man there was working hard to improve the place. He came and trimmed the shrubs so I could get my awning out. We stayed in an open area better suited to larger rigs than the more wooded sites, but the sites were narrow and the crushed rock was thin and not well maintained (meaning a lot of sand and dirt) tracked everywhere. This was messy place in wet weather. The sites were all downhill and taxed the ability of the jacks on our coach to handle the grade. Other than a place to park with convenient access to Greensboro, this is not a place most would choose for its ambiance. On a positive note, the sites in the area where we parked were open enabling excellent satellite reception. We choose this place because it advertised WI-FI available but it wasn't.
