Sites had lots of space between sites with excellent views of the lake. (We camped in Loop A.) GREAT Wi-Fi. We kept here with 3 Samoyeds (medium sized dogs) and two cats. Large jack rabbits were fun to watch. Very quiet. Nice store with bottled water, beer, wine, lots of Lake Powell nick-knacks. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Campground is not well marked. Take North Wahweap entrance.
What a pleasant surprise this campground was! We first tried an RV Park in Sedona. Sedona had miles and miles of road construction (March 2009) which was not fun in a big rig. So beware! Plus the personnel at that Sedona RV park were very overworked. So we left there (without even checking in) and headed south to this WONDERFUL campground with friendly and helpful staff. There is both stream and river frontage, a beautiful spring with a resident otter, tall cottonwoods, tree swings, outdoor fire pits - a camper's dream come true. Well behaved pets are very welcome here. Many wineries in the area if you want to do some tasting. Although we didn't use them, their cabin rentals look adorable. The only reason we didn't rank it a 10 is that the only TV access was thru our satellite system which might bother some. We would definitely camp here again. We highly, highly recommend this campground.
This time of year (late February/early March), this was a great park as many sites were empty. It's in the tall pines and backs up to open land (we assume National Forest). Might get crowded mid-summer as sites are tight. We had no problem negotiating site with a 36 ft motorhome pulling a 15 ft toad. Would camp here again when driving thru.
Excellent park. Very quiet and very well maintained. We stayed here with a Samoyed (medium sized dog), and she was very welcome. They have a very long enclosed dog run at the back of the park which she enjoyed very much. They also had a Margarita night with excellent Margaritas. In addition, they can put you in touch with a detailing service that comes to your unit and cleans it and your tow vehicle. They did an excellent job. Would definitely stay here again.
Very friendly staff. Our dog was welcome. Could not see lake, and there were lots of full-timers, who seemed like very nice folks. Overall friendly people, well maintained, and clean park.
Near I-40, but surprisingly clean and quiet RV park. Has locked gate at night. We stayed here with well behaved dogs, and they were very welcome. Not a destination (we'd already seen Meteor Crater), but a good stopping point on your way to somewhere else.
