Because of prior reviews, we were very wary of staying at this park. But it was only for two days and since it was free for us (ROD), we thought we would give it a try. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. Because it is the end of September, the park was almost empty. There were pull throughs and sites directly on the water that were empty, but because we were ROD, we were given a back-in site away from the water. That was OK because we still have a great view of the Keys. The staff was friendly, the park clean, the pool was open, as was The Grill, that sits at water's edge. We had plenty of room for our slides and awning, but if the park was crowded I can see that it might be a little close. There were two laundry areas and both were clean. The one I used has a great view of the ocean. I don't think we'll come back in the summer, but will definitely come again in late September and October.
We love Yonah Mountain Campground! We have been here several times and will continue to return whenever we are in North Georgia. The majority of the sites are in the trees, so even during the hottest months shade is provided. The staff is awesome; always willing to provide help or just stop by to chat. The Clubhouse is very nice with very clean rest roons, and the laundry room is one of the best we've used. Very welcoming pool and activities during the summer months. Yes...the interior roads are gravel and you get some noise from the road, but not a problem to us. If you don't have a good time here, it's your own fault. Great campground!
We camped here for one night on our way across TX. It was an easy access from I-10 at Exit #533, but the road inside the park was a little steep (they don't call it "Top of the Hill" for nothing). The facility was nice. We had a long, level pull-through with full hook-ups. This past summer they had a brush fire destroy 10 sites and the clubhouse, but they are working on getting the sites completed and the pavilion is finished. We would definitely stay here again.
We were making a quick trip across Texas and found this gem of a park just 2 miles from I-20 at exit #591. Park is only 18 months old, and provides everything you need. The full hook-up sites weve paved (we had 50 amp), level (we didn't have to unhook our truck), and spacious. Although closed for the winter, the saline pool was clean and inviting. Didn't use the laundry, but one of the nicest I have seen. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stop here again. Our rate reflects Passport America discount.
