We stayed here for 14-days. Campground is wonderful - close to many attractions, including Yellowstone National Park (West enterance). Water is from artesian wells and wonderful. Very quite since the location is 5 miles inland from US-20. Owners and staff very friendly and attentive. Campground is next to a large lake which is a destination for people who like to fish. Sites are spacious with a grassy area for each site and a lot of room between sites. All facilities worked well, including Wi-Fi. I would have liked to have cable TV available although satellite works well. This is definitely a travel destination rather than a one-night stay.
Positives: Nice location with river access, nice facilities for children (in-door pool, playground, game room, store), and deep but narrow sites. Negatives: Overpriced, cable TV marginal (few channels and ours had a lot of static), no fenced off area for dogs to play off leash. We stayed only one night. This campground is located in an absolutely beautiful area. River access a definite plus and a nice campground to walk around. Staff was attentive and campground was kept clean. Major negative is the price. Much too high for what is offered.
Positives: Excellent and helpful staff. Sites reasonable level and of adequate width and depth. Cable TV reception good. Negatives: Older campground which does not provide easy on/off from interstate (requires some minor traveling on small country roads to get there). No fenced dog area. We stayed one night. We had some rig difficulties and the KOA staff were extremely helpful in finding and getting a repairman to come to our rig to make a repair - very convenient and unexpected. We would definitely recommend staying here for the helpful staff and friendly environment.
Positives: Easy on/off interstate, large park, nice store, friendly staff, level sites. Negatives: Narrow sites although adequate depth, no fenced dog area and designated dog area too close to main highway for safety. We stayed one night. Found the campground to be a little better than expected. Campground has nice trees which makes for a nice environment. All facilities worked well. Biggest negative was the lack of an adequate dog area.
Positives: Easy on/off from interstate. Close to many stores, including Walmart, Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. Negatives: Expensive, narrow and shallow sites, uneven/not level sites (requires modest leveling), short store/staff hours, no fenced dog area. We stayed one night. Campground staff were friendly and helpful. Our site was fairly uneven requiring that we almost had our front wheels off the ground to level the coach. Campground has nice trees and a pleasant atmosphere, but sites are short and narrow. Price for what you get is excessive.
Positives: Close to interstate - easy on and off. Fenced dog area so dogs can play off leash. Basic store for quick supplies. Rig repair serviceman available for quick fixes. 50 amp service, dump, Wi-Fi and cable worked OK. Negatives: Just a gravel parking lot with very poor ambiance, narrow and shallow sites, inattentive staff, speed bumps at entrance excessive and potentially damaging. We stayed here for just one night. Our site was too narrow even for our modest rig. The rig next to us parked their tow vehicle partially in our site (as the sites are too shallow and narrow) and the unit directly across from us also parked their large truck partially blocking the exit in the road - these violations prevented us from pulling out in the AM. We had to wake up the people in the rig next to us to get them to move their car so we could exit. I would have expected the staff to have observed this situation in advance and dealt with it so we didn't have to.
