We stayed in the super sites and they were all nicely leveled. It was early in the season and they were just starting to fix everything up for summer. They have a total of 4 pools 3 which are old. 8 bathrooms and 1 of them is new. Its a nice friendly place and when we needed suggestions on what to do around Virginia beach, the office lady was able to give us great ideas. The roads not in the super sites area need to be up-dated and they need new bathrooms but otherwise everything else is nice. You cant sleep-in here because at 8am the air-force base begins flying its jets right over the area. Its not the campgrounds fault for the planes but every place in Virginia beach will hear the planes. We would camp here again.
Great park without all the craziness of Wisconsin Dells. A short distance away from all the fun makes this place more quiet and it has less loud entertainment of other campgrounds in Wisconsin Dells. The pool was nice and the soft serve Ice cream is amazing (very affordable might I add.) This park is great for being so close to the Dells and keeping the area quiet. The showers are all separate stalls which are nice. The bathrooms are new and are always being cleaned whenever you look. Would camp here again next time.
Make reservations early otherwise you will be camping down the road at another campground. It gets really crowed here with lots of kids running around. If you want peace and quiet this is not the place for you. If you want to be secluded then camp in a site near the back. Otherwise this campground is the nicest one near Frankenmuth.
Very nice campground. Paved interior roads. Has a big lake with swimming. The bathroom house is very spacious and new. Also equestrian campground w/49 sites. Nice hiking trails/biking trails. Overall a very beautiful campground. Will come back soon!
Always come back for easter. Its a nice developed park. Gets crowded for holidays. The golf course is well maintained and beautiful. The pool is up at the lodge and may be free or a fee to use. Its always a nice relaxing place to stay!
Very new campground with paved interior roads. The bathrooms are very big and clean. The sites are big and scenic. They have a big man made lake with fishing and a marina. Tent sites are either boat in or walk in. The RV sites are paved with a gravel patio. A few sites are double sites so they can fit 2 campers on one site. All the campsites back up to the woods. The park owned golf course is amazing. Brand new! In this golf course it takes 45 minutes to drive around it. Basically you are playing golf in the mountains. The price is very good for a professional course. Would come back again!
Its fairly nice. The COWS down the road were crazy! In the middle of the night you would hear Moo, so loud the sound goes though a hard sided trailer. The bathrooms are old and the gravel roads wash away when it rains. Nice for a short visit. The cool part was the jumping pillow, it was really fun. Bunch of permanent sites though. Might stay again if we are in the area for a short amount of time.
This campground is amazing! They called us and gave us the gate code because we were late and they left us a site map on the office. The sites are huge and very spaced out. The scenery is beautiful and the area is very clean. This campground is about 4 years old and they are adding 47 more sites. The bath house consists of 8 separate spaces each with a sink, shower, and toilet. The pool and hot tub is very nice. Everyone is very friendly. The roads are all paved and there is a long paved path around the lake. Plan on making reservations early. It was worth the 15 drive to Myrtle beach. Would definitely stay here again!
