Great overnight stop, though we wished we were staying longer! Less than a mile off the interstate but no road noise. Easy to navigate in the dark with big rig and straightforward after hours check in. Lanes are narrow but paved and most pads are paved. Easy pull-thru access. Showers were clean with good pressure and hot water. Family friendly. Kids loved bounce pillow and there is a pool in the summer, adjacent to a small playground. There are a few other games/activities set up for families. There's also a small, fenced in pet area which was well kept. Owner was pleasant and helpful and lives on-site. Free WiFi and cable with no issues. We will be back to visit next time we head south on I-75! Rate reflects military discount.
Hidden gem! Convenient for weekend family time. Our first impression was that it was a dated, rural park. However, once we got settled we really started to like the place. We were given a spot with easy pull thru access for our big rig. No cable at most sites but we get many over-air channels and WiFi works fine. Everyone drives really slow and waves when they go by. Lots of kids and families. There is a nice, very clean pool with lifeguard and small snack stand. On weekends there are a few activities. All on all, great place to spend some rest time with your family over the weekend, and very convenient to Dayton and Columbus. Not paved and glitzy, but it gets the job done!
This campground has a lot of potential but it fell short in several areas. Here are the pros: premium sites have nice patios with BBQ, fire pit, furniture, and most had hot tubs ($80 rate we paid), easy off highway but quiet for overnight stop, easy to maneuver our big rig to site, pool (empty during our visit) and pond with sand beach and small playground, minimal traffic so kids can ride bikes safely Now (sadly) for the cons: everything in the resort is half-finished (like a grand project that ran out of money/steam) standard sites are basically grassy field with hookups, bathrooms poorly designed with water running everywhere, hot tub lukewarm and outdoor sink plugged, rough 1 mile road entry (not a problem for our rig, but passing another big rig would have been scary with swamp on either side) I would potentially stay here again, but with a few caveats. I would only stay in the premium site, especially if coming in after hours. That being said, for the price, it's hard to justify as an over night because I wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful setting, walking and riding around, and using the hot tub/grill/patio that we paid for (and that the hot tub was actually HOT)...otherwise don't think it's worth $80.
