Membership Only Campground - However do call if you are a member of any type of RV Club, (Good Sam, Escapees), etc., as they accept several clubs. This is a secure gated community that offers several activities (pool, lake, tennis, etc). The park is well maintained with a great staff. Grocery stores nearby. A lovely park and will definitely stay here when in the Chicago area.
Great park for the value. We stayed here for 2 months and our nightly rate reflects the monthly rate with water and electric usage. The facility is well managed. For example, when we needed propane they came to our site to retrieve the empty bottles, and then installed them when they returned. Overall, a well run park. We would definitely stay here again.
We camped here for two months so we had a monthly rate which is less than the posted rate. This is a small, quiet, campground with gas, groceries, etc only 5 min away. The owners are nice and helpful. There aren't a lot of sewer sites, so we stayed in an electric/water for approx 2 weeks (the owner will pump out your RV once per wk),until a site with sewer opened up. This was a very easy, pleasant place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.
Excellent campground. Very easy on/off I-75. Campground was all paved, level, very clean, easy hookups, and office staff was friendly and helpful. Flying J and TA truck stops were only 1 mile away. I've yet to rate a campground a 10, but this was the first. Beautiful park and would definitely stay here again.
Nice, well-kept park. Most sites are long term. Offers fishing lake, pool, kids playground, laundry, and church on Sundays. We were here for several months and paid a monthly rate. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a well kept, older trailer park. The location is convenient to everything. The Manager is really nice and goes out of her way to help. The park is quiet and we felt safe. We would definitely stay here again. We paid $380 per month.
We enjoyed our stay at this campground. It is family owned and the owners are always working around the property to keep it nice and clean. The sites are close together and are gravel, but the area is well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. The owners were great.
The person who previously reviewed this campground in 2003 described it to a tee. The only other thing I could add is that you receive 2 TV channels, and it's intermittent. After the first week, we purchased a Dish receiver from Radio Shack. The TV issue, along with the dirt road (it rained a lot while we were here) were the only real issues. There aren't many RV parks around the area to choose from.
A lovely and quiet place to stay with lots of shade. There is a stream for fishing in the park and a nice large pool in the back. The owners are nice and helpful and keep the campground well maintained. Pets are welcome. We camped here in a fifth wheel for 2 months and enjoyed it very much. FYI-They do not accept credit cards.
This is a nice campground, although it's a little difficult to find the first time you go into the fairground. There are no amenities on site and it's not paved, however, we always enjoy our stay here. The camp host is nice and helpful, and it's a great place for the pets.
A place to stay temporarily if you can't find anywhere else. It's an old KOA with an older trailer park on the site as well. Would not stay here for an extended length of time. Also, the price is way to high for this type of campground.
A typical California large-city type campground. Sites are extremely close together, but park is clean & well-kept. Very convenient to the ferry and San Francisco. Office staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice, clean park. Management was accommodating. Grounds and pool were kept immaculate. On the downside, the sites were very small and close together. Also, since it's near L.A., it's always full and you are normally put on a waiting list for a site.
