The only negative is highway noise, but it wasn't that bad. They had a great hiking trail around the campground and a terrific pet area. The owners were very nice. I had left my 2 way radio at the desk at check in and they golf carted it to my site! They were planning to get WIFI soon.
The owners are extremely nice and willing to help. If we were only rating owners, they would get a 10. They gave advice on hiking in the area, they opened up a site before the season officially started and made it a semi winter site for us. Some sites are close to the highway, but trees are separating the highway from the sites. They also had a great potluck dinner weekend for spring clean up, where we met some great campers for a small amount of work.
The owners went out of their way to make our stay great. He helped me set up the WIFI internet, as well as explain all the options for the internet that were available. They also had driving tours printed in their welcome newsletter which I thought were great. The pet area was very nice with lots of trash containers available.
This campground had a gorgoeus walking trail. They were also very helpful in the store to guide us to the site and give us suggestions for restaurants in the area. I think they were going to have wireless internet soon.
We came here in our fifth wheel in the fall. The park was not crowded therefore the staff should not have been busy and stressed. As the other reviewers mentioned, they were rule crazy. I like rules, but they were drill sargents. I had 2 friends visit for 20 minutes, they charged them visitor rates. They didn't use any of the campground features and they barely let their car engine cool. However, the final straw happened when a tornado was coming through the area. I was driving in, and my pass to the campground was on my dashboard in plain sight. He stopped me because it wasn't on my mirror. There was a tornado less than a mile from the campground and I was trying to get to my family. They also did not seem to have a severe storm plan, other than the restrooms. They also were refusing to let the pets in the restrooms if needed for the storms. We left a few days later despite the fact we paid for 2 weeks. There are other campgrounds within 20 miles of that campground, so I won't choose this campground again even though I have friends in the area. They did have a nice campground in terms of landscaping and a nice field to walk your pets, had they been friendly we would have really enjoyed this spot.
