Rate based on a weekly half off special. This was no bargain for comfort. Road noise and overall park noise. Mostly permanent sites with an entire 'neighborhood' out back. Almost all units unkempt. My site had no pad, but was level and right next to a major state route. Slept with earplugs. Roads have speed bumps. Staff was very pleasant. I would not stay here again and left early. Scenery was beautiful with spanish moss draping very stately trees, but that's about all this park has going for it.
Good over an overnight stay. Interstate within view, creating much traffic noise. Older and a bit out of date, but neat and clean for the most part. Pleasant owners. If you fill propane, make sure your compartment is closed solid since mine was not and I didn't check after she filled my tank. Easy in and out access.
Most sites are occupied by permanent or seasonal reserved. The worst sites are for those who are not regular. Park was clean, friendly, and fairly attractive. Community is established, not providing much interaction with new comers. Owners friendly but not very interactive with guests. Site 67 was in a corner, not much for patio space, penned in by chain link & wooden fence & park model with a view of the neighboring park and dead banana plants. Traffic noise in this site was quite loud with nothing to block the view. Indoor pool quite nice but cool. Fishing pond overrun with Talapia. Rate based on a monthly stay. Cut my stay short due to a sense of isolation from the rest of the park. I would not return.
Very spacious sites set up in Jack n Jill and all pull through. The community is the best ever. I felt a part of the community from the first day. My stay was over 2 months, extended due to a dental issue and had no problem finding someone to help me with a ride for surgery. The office & park staff were awesome, too. Very efficiently run, extremely clean facilities & grounds. The park would have gotten a 10 rating except, not their fault, the lake is at least 6 foot down with no access to the water to fish. Since fishing was one of my reasons to choose this park, I was a bit upset that no one mentioned this at the time of my reservation. Others visiting had similar sentiment. Piers in place but served no purpose except to sit. Many activities, wonderful well run Sunday pot luck dinners. Rate is based on a monthly scale. Safe and secure, flat and level. I would definitely return for extended stay.
Good easy access for an overnight pull through. I stayed 4 nights parked right next to the big equipment/truck garages. On arrival I had to ask for a commercial septic truck be removed from the site in front of me, blocking my view of the river. This was the most unfriendly bunch I ever met. No one would even wave in a friendly manner. A dump truck was started up in the garage and ran while two men had a lengthy talk & the diesel exhaust filled my RV. Nice park, pretty & clean but even the permanent residents couldn't talk or say hi. Never saw a park like that. The owner acted like she was over stressed and always in a big hurry. Didn't know a golf cart could go that fast. So much for 5 mph speed limit!
Wonderful park with peacock, guinea hens, and geese wandering around. Permanent residents are well separated from transient. Shaded as well as sunny pull through sites. Wi-Fi available at main rec hall and also a Wi-Fi Cafe. Friendly people all over with great roads to walk/hike throughout this huge park. Security gated with guard shack. Rate was based on a monthly rate. The only drawback was poor water, very mineral based well water. Make coffee with bottled water!
A bit disorganized and shorthanded, but they were a week away from officially opening. Store was a mess, and park looked a bit like a construction site with holes and mounds of dirt all over. Roads were extremely dusty, & the site we were assigned was not marked well at all. It did not seem that this was much more than a stop over park.
Well laid out park to create great space between neighbors. Quiet, concrete pads, easy access to shoreline from just about every site. Clean with trash pick up 3 times a week from each site's trash can provided on each site. Great beach. Gated and security patrolled regularly. Views of lake are great at every site in the park.
Nice, quiet out of the way park. Friendly staff. The lake can be fished but the shoreline is not easily accessible and there are boundary issues with adjoining park. Nice club house used for gathering and jig saw puzzle meets. Bring the bug spray as the mosquito's were in high numbers throughout the day. Put up a screen tent to sit out in. Great views of the lake.
This park is loaded with hiking trails and is very well taken care of. When a violation was noticed and reported to the camp host, it was taken care of immediately. Awesome pool facilities with food service & store. Must watch for alligators near the river especially with pets. Very quiet and relaxing park.
