Very well organized and well run. Sites are average in size, level, but a little dusty/muddy. Just enough trees and landscaping. Drag strip across the street can be noisy on weekends, but stops at dark. Super friendly, knowledgable staff. Civil War monument on the grounds! Best choice we have seen in the area.
Pros: Friendly staff who obviously care about the campground. Very clean. Dinner and music on the grounds. Cons: Loud traffic noise from interstate. Very small, tight crowded sites. Less than desirable neighborhood. There are better choices in the area.
As good as it gets! Sites are very well laid out with few parking problems. Grounds are very well maintained. Staff is friendly. Area B is more spacious than Area A. My only suggestion is a little more lighting at night. A long way from town, but that can be a good thing. Lots of OTA TV stations.
Outstanding view of Mississippi River and barge traffic are the major draw of this campground. Otherwise pretty average. Sites large, but river view sites have no shade and are dusty or muddy. In a semi-industrial, remote area. It is also interesting that the entire campground is rigged for flooding; office is a trailer, electrical junction boxes are elevated, etc. Would return for the view but not much else.
Entrance speed bumps will rattle your fillings. Bare bones field with little to recommend it. OK for overnight if you are exhausted, but definitely not a campground in the true sense of the word. Poor value.
Sites are just a little above average. However, owners are very friendly, and pond is outstanding with a mowed walking path, flowers, and creek. Convenient location. Overall a very good experience.
Friendly owners, not very friendly seasonal campers. Way over-priced for only gravel roads and average amenities. Wi-Fi barely works. Sites are average size, but grounds are spacious.
