This in an "OK" campground. I was as impressed as I thought I would be. First of all the campground is on a large hillside, so if you plan on walking with kids, good luck. The campground was clean and there was a lot of activities. We stayed all the way at the top of the hill. It wasn't wooded there and I really liked the sites. The wooded sites were very small. Also there is a lot of poison ivy in the wooded sites. I also seen a lot of kids with lotion on to treat their poison ivy. We stayed during their "Halloween" weekend. It was nice and a lot of fun.
This was our first time here and it was wonderful. The campground in very nice and clean. The pool area is awesome. They have 2 regular pools and 2 very nice pools for children. They also have a splash zone and a small water slide for kids. There is lots to do here. We stayed for a week and hardly left the campground because it was so nice. They have a nice restaurant and a store with just about anything you would need. Highly recommended!
If you want a roomy site, forget it. Our site was so tight that when we opened our awning, it was 2 inches from touching the camper beside us! When making the reservations, the staff asks for the size of your camper, therefore they know how big your camper is. However, they still stuck us in this tight spot and refused to let us move to another site. Once we got in our spot, we couldn't pull our camper out because it was so tight. This was a nice campground as far as activities, pool, etc. I would stay again if they had bigger sites.
This is a very nice campground. However, there are lots and lots of geese. It is impossible to walk around the goose droppings. Other than that, this one of the nicest campgrounds in the area. They have fishing, putt putt, tennis courts, a large pool, etc. The store is well stocked and well maintained. We would camp here again.
If you like to do nothing but get drunk and play horseshoes, then this is the place for you. The campground is very dirty and not well maintained at all. I was a seasonal camper here because several of my friends were here. Ninety-five percent of the campground are seasonal campers. This place looks more like a trashy trailer court. None of the so called rules are enforced. Everybody owns at least one or two golf carts or ATVs and they run nonstop. Forget about trying to take a walk on the road, you're likely to get run over. The State Police are often called to this campground due to fights or theft. The grass is hardly ever mowed and when it is, the grass gets blown all over your vehicle or camper. There is absolutely no respect from the staff. However the seasonal campers are very friendly. There is a large fishing lake, but it is so overgrown with weeds inside that fishing is impossible.
