Very nice, quiet campground. Mostly pull through sites with level concrete pads. Picnic table is also on concrete. The train goes by several times per night and blows the whistle, but it is past the rear of campground, can only hear it and cannot see it. Very easy to get in and out of site. Nicely landscaped. We stayed for 2 nights and just wanted a quiet night's sleep and that is what we got. Park is very well maintained. We saw someone on a golf cart driving through several times per night just checking on things. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. The $45. reflects AAA discount. We camped here in a 31 foot rig with no leveling jacks and did not need them. Very level sites. Most easy campground we ever camped in, to get in and out of.
Campground was very quiet. Not much for children here, other than a swing set. But nice for adults who want a quiet night of sleep. Sites are nice. I would have given it a 10, but was not impressed with woman who I assume is one of the owners. When we asked for a level & quiet site. She told us, "you don't have to tell me anything". I wasn't telling, I was asking. Would have appreciated a little better answer that what I got. Of course, I guess she knows, there are only two campgrounds in Luray, so I guess she doesn't care how she answers to her customers. The campground was far from full.
We stayed for one night. Owners were very helpful. Beautiful campground. Very quiet. Beautiful views. Gated entrance. Will definitely stay here again. Nice campground for a couple. No entertainment for children.
We stayed on a Friday night: the campground was pretty much full. Was very quiet and peaceful. Very nice for people who want to have a nice quiet, relaxing stay. Owners were friendly and stuck to their rules. We are business owners and realize there has to be rules to follow. Very well kept campground in a beautiful setting. We stayed in a shaded site. A very level site. All amenities were as stated on website. Would definitely stay here again.
Campground had a lot of seasonal sites. We were parked next to a seasonal site. Campers arrived at their site next to us around 8pm. Split firewood for about 15 minutes in pouring rain, then, set outside with family under canopy with campfire and played loud music until 11pm. They fixed things around their camper, banged & clanged until about midnight before going in. Problem is, no one in office to complain about noise because of the lateness. Quiet time is 11pm until 8am. Also, paved roads, but no stoned or paved pads, your unit parks in the grass. It poured rain the entire evening. Owner was very polite & helpful when we arrived, but we would not stay there again.
