Park is in a nice location beside the White River but the park is very rustic for the cost. Facilities were good and the manager was accommodating but the park was in need of mowing for the week we were there.
Great park and great folks managing it. We were there with our Winnebago group for over a week and we were treated like family. We will be going back again, for sure. Lots to do in the area or just pull up a chair to the lake behind your RV and wet a line. Also check out Poches Meat Market for excellent plate lunches and Cajun food.
Lots of long term RVs (construction workers) and dealer does not accept reservations means that you do not have much of a chance to get in here. Sites are very close together, lots of road noise from I-35 as well as the noise generated by the folks working in the RV dealership. Rest rooms were not clean and the laundry has too few machines, even when all are working. This RV park had declined a lot in the past few years and the price has gone up.
Large, very busy, campground. Clean facilities and the grounds are well kept. The mosquitoes are terrible, swarming you as soon as you leave your RV. WIFI is OK at best but you only get 2 hour coupons?? Not a value for $40+ a night. Will stay elsewhere on our next trip.
Typical KOA, you pay for everything but the air you breathe. It is expensive for what you get. It rained several days while we were there and the main street in the park turned into a creek. The sites were muddy. The park and facilities are well maintained. An OK place to spend the night but not my first choice.
This is a great place to put the jacks down and stay a few days. You are in the heart of cajun country and you will never meet more friendly folks. The Poches do whatever it takes to make your stay a fun one. We will be back, a lot..
Park is in a nice location beside the Mississippi river and across from the bluffs of Natchez, MS. Campground needs work, roads are gravel and rains left big mud holes to deal with. WIFI was bad to non-existent. Not worth the price.
Handy for folks traveling I-35 but only for over night. A very noisy location with the dealership next door and I-35 500" away. There is no security and lots of traffic through the campground. The laundry is way too small (2 washers/2 dryers)for the size of the facility.
We have spent the winter here for the past two years and love the park. It has close access to the beach and all of the upper gulf region. There is a great camp host this year that sponsored a lot of activities during the holidays. This is a nice location and reasonable rates for the area. We will be back.
This is a nice, well maintained park that is convenient for those traveling on I-20. There is a helpful host and and lots to do in the area. We gambled some in the casino, and our camp site fees were comped, and we paid nothing for a 3 day stay. We will be back again.
Campground agreed to hold camp sites for our state WIT (Winnebago-Itasca Travelers) club for the 2009 Audubon Pilgrimage. After publishing the reservation information for our get together the campground says that now they have a group of contractors in the park and are not accepting reservations for our WIT group. I'm not impressed with their organization or honesty.
