Now this is a nice campsite. Not as crowded as another park in the area, and just a few miles further up the road (no shuttle bus though). Has nice staff, clean restrooms, good WiFi coverage and beautiful scenery. Wonderful place to stay and enjoy Bryce / Kodachrome / Grand Staircase.
We had a really bad experience with this one. We checked in but weren't sure if we would stay one or two nights. So, we checked in for one night, we could book the extra night later on. After looking at the maps, somewhat one hour after our check-in, we decided to stay there for two nights. So I went to the office, where the lady told me "Sorry making a second booking will only be possible from tomorrow 8am" which I thought was ridiculous. I told her we wanted to go walking early in the morning so this wasn't possible, on which she said "You want to go walking, that's not our problem". At that time two other people checked in for 2 nights at once, which was possible. By then, I had to argue for 15 minutes for getting my 2nd night booked. I am really not the person that complains often, but for this occasion I was so mad that I had to. This, combined with the high tariff (same as we had in Vegas), poor toilet/showers facility and even poor Wifi coverage (only 1/3 of the site is covered) should be a reason to go for the campsite in the park which is a lot nicer.
