Bandon by the Seas, is not really by the sea. Lot of permanent RV'ers, don't know if they were seasonal, or there all year, but most were clean and neat. We had a site up front (#3), with hardly any room between sites. Our picnic table sit over neighbors sewer hose, we didn't use the picnic table. Site was gravel and pretty level. The road noise from route 101 started early in morning. So get a site in the back, they are larger and the road noise won't bother you. Wife used laundry and said it was okay. Bandon is a neat area, so we would stay here again, just not in sites 1 thru 5.

Rate was for Passport America. Okay park, a two night stay to get caught up on shopping and laundry. Managers were friendly and helpful. We had one of the first sites as you pull into park. Site was level gravel, but not a lot of room between sites. Wife was okay with laundry, but wished it would have had AC, with the high temps. The temperature was in the high 90's, so we ran both AC's a lot and voltage was steady. Would probably stay here again.

A three night stay, and not a bad campground. Not manicured real well, but we had a super site. Ask for site #2 in the ocean view section. Wife did laundry, but half the machines were not working. They have a German restaurant, but it was not open while we were there. We would stay again.

Price reflects Passport America rate. Stayed here three nights, and had a great time. The manager is a super guy. Had a salmon and chicken BBQ on Saturday night, and the entertainment was super. Do not expect a 4 diamond resort, because it is a kind of helter skelter type campground. We had full hook ups with 50 amp, and voltage was good. We were the first site on the "upper" level. Good location to see the Redwoods National park and Jedediah State Park. Also, take the Requa road to overlook to see where Klamath river flows into the ocean. You may see a whale.

Cost was too much for too little. Another concrete parking lot, with hook ups, and no space between sites. Picked this park for location to the city (about 7 miles from city center). It has a shuttle bus that takes you into the city for $12 per person. In its defense, we spent most of our time in the city so just needed a place to sleep and shower. So amenities were not that important.

The best thing about this park is that it is close to attractions (Zoo & Balboa Park). Just a concrete parking lot with hook ups and not much room between sites. The staff was friendly, but not very helpful with information. Asked where to fuel up with diesel that was easy in and out for a 36 footer and got a deer in the head light look. Doubt if I would stay here again. So, it gets a rating of 6 just for location to attractions.

A little off the beaten path, but worth the effort. Just a one night stop on our way to San Diego. The manager, typed up a list of must see/do things while we are in San Diego and San Francisco. Lot of permanent (week-end) campers, but campers were all in good shape and area was clean, and everyone was friendly. Site was gravel and pretty level, and voltage was good. Would definitely stay again.

Rate reflects a Passport America discount. Okay for an overnight stay. Sites not level, so check before choosing your site.

A campground has to be exceptional for me to rate it a 10. On the other hand it has to be really poor for me to rate it a 1 or 2. I gave the campground a 2 just because of location (plus voltage was a steady 120 volts). That being said, this is not really big rig friendly. A big dip coming in, so your going to drag, I removed my tow bar and did not hook up until I departed. They advertise wide sites, but our was only 15-16' wide, did not open slide on drivers side, so we would not infringe on our neighbors. Sites not level, so bring plenty of cribbing. Wife did a load of laundry (1 washer 1 dryer) and was satisfied. So unless you want to be close to Monterey, or have an event at the fairgrounds, I would suggest another campground.

$30 rate is if your have Texas State Parks pass, which we bought ($70 for year). If you have pass, you can get one night half price at each park you stay. I would have rated higher, but sites are extremely sloped! We didn't have enough boards to get our RV level. So, drive in and check site first. Other than that, it is a good park. Convenient to Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our Verizon MiFi worked good.

Rate was $12.50 for Passport America. Just an overnight stay, and had a long fairly level pull-through, so did not have to unhook toad. This looks like a fairly new park, with still some work to be done. That being said, not a bad place. Have some fulltimers, but all the RVs are in good shape, and sites are clean. A little off the beaten path, but would stay here again. They also have a small restaurant/bar across road at marina.

Rate reflects National Parks senior pass. Nice campground with full hookups, and plenty of shade. No reservations, and pick out your own site. Get one away from road, as road noise starts early in morning. Also, check level, as some site have a pretty good slope. It also has a picnic area, so there is a lot of non camping traffic. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed two nights. Long level pull-through. Would not have had to unhook, but did. Had some long term campers, with dogs running loose. Friendly owner. Would stay here again if we could not get into National Park campground.

A little off the interstate, and about 16 miles to downtown Memphis. Just an overnight stay, and would not have had to unhook, because the pull thru sites are plenty long to stay hooked up. The drive to get to park is through a not so good area, but park seemed secure to us. Use your water regulator, pressure seemed a little high. Would stay here again
