We have camped here 3 times in the last year because of this campground's location, not the campground itself. Pros are it is close to South Haven, many pull-thru sites, and a nice pool; cons are it is overpriced for the kind of campground it is, roads are not paved and are very dusty, and owners charge extra for everything. This campground only opened a couple years ago and is situated in a former blueberry field--therefore no trees, no shade. Mosquitoes are terrible, so bad that we ended up sitting inside after dark.
This is a beautiful campground located right on the dunes of Lake Michigan in the town of Pentwater. A very short walk to the beach and long concrete pier. Great for biking as well. Very clean well-kept beach--water is clear. Store located on beach for snacks/ice cream. All sites are blacktopped. Only problem is they are a bit difficult to back into, but everyone seems to manage. Town is about 3-block walk and has restaurants and shops. We were very impressed and will camp here again.
