We selected this park because we were looking for and RV park near Decatur, IL. This park had the amenities we were looking for. The sites are spacious and the shade was welcome when the temperature hit 104 degrees. We would stay here again, if in the area.
The strong point of this park, is that it is near Disney and the other theme parks. Good restaurants and shopping is nearby. Clean, level paved sites are very nice. Pet friendly to the extreme. The whole park is a dog walk area, some owners pick up and some do not. The park advertises Wi-Fi available but this is very spotty. If you absolutely need the internet for work etc., you better bring your own aircard.
This park should rate a 10. But no cable TV? This park has every amenity except Cable, which is available if you make arrangements in advance. The grounds are well taken care of and the employees very friendly and helpful. We plan on staying here again very soon.
The rate indicates a discounted rate promotion. This is one of the best RV resorts we have ever stayed at. The facilities are first class. The amenities, clubhouse, pool, fitness center are second to none. It will be nice when they complete the putting green, which is not available. All of the personnel we came in contact with were helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.
The facilities at Topsail are top notch. We have stayed here before and enjoyed it. We have never been at Topsail during this particular time of year. The yellow pine tree pollen covered the place. Everything we had outside turned yellow. We would stay here again, but not in March.
This was our first visit to this campground. This campground is what every campground should be. It is a new campground and a lot of thought was given to what they wanted the result to be. Friendly accommodating people.
Very nice campground. We used it as an overnight stay because it is very convenient off I-65. Also a good base to visit Mammoth Cave National Park. Sites were level, clean with easy hookups. We intended to stay 1 night and stayed 2 nights when we decided to visit Mammoth National Park. I would give this a 10 but there is no pool. We will definitely stay here again.
We have been Disney fans for many years. We are DVC members. This is the first time we have camped at Fort Wilderness. This does not measure up to other Disney properties. We were placed in the 200 loop. It is a challenge to park in this loop if you have a large rig, particularly if all the sites are full. I think that when you are placed in a site, they have no idea how big your rig or camping unit is. The site was small and dirty. I could go on, but I won't. Hint: If you go to Fort Wilderness, you do not have to take the first site assigned. Look the site over, if you don't like it, request a different one. Campers coming in are doing this all the time. I didn,t, because I didn't know this was possible.
We spent one night at this campground. The campground provided what we needed for that night. We wanted a pull-through, since none were available we took an alternative. We don't plan on returning. I feel the park is overpriced.
