Absolutely lovely campground, great lake views. Crowded at weekends - can be hard to find a good site. Some sites sloping. Operated by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It can be reserved through ReserveAmerica.

Lovely campground with views of the Sierra Nevada and the lake. Very quiet and few visitors when we were there. Highly recommended.
Death Valley National Park, California Panamint Springs Resort (Privately Owned)

Good campground for access to Death Valley - 1000 ft altitude means not as hot as the campgrounds in the valley floor. The campground manager was quite abrupt - in fact rude might be a better word.

Nice campground with good views over Lake Isabella. Quite a lot of road noise from Hwy 178 behind the campground.

Good campground - feels spacious even when full, which it will almost always be. The best sites are the ones near the edge, overlooking the creek.
