This is a beautiful place. Very private sites and quiet. Just went to the beach and no mater what the Florida tourist ads say: there are tar balls the size of a quarter to 50 cent pieces right at the waters edge. BP has really made a mess of the place. Workers are out, but the bottom just off shore is covered with tar balls. We did not see any oil though, like at Biloxi, Miss.
Very Very over priced park. Only one shower stall and toilet for men and one for women. Would not stay again. Casino is very small and after about 9:30 pm very little food service. This place was a very big let-down. If you want to go to a Casino area, go to Tunica Miss.
I gave this park an 8 because the other alternatives are really bad in the area. View is good of the river and hills. I-70 road noise is because this is a canyon campground and it just echoes. Management is friendly and helpful. This is a rustic rural campground. Not much to do in Glenwood Springs.
Management is very unfriendly. Acted like they could care less. We had an electrical problem when hooking up and man acted like it was our fault. He was not friendly at all. When we were leaving my wife went in the office to say goodbye and man would hardly acknowledge she was there. Would only stay as a stop over. We will look for a more friendly place next time.
